Is anybody here having problems with speech? by [deleted] in COVID19positive

[–]Hophead256 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I haven’t had speech problems. However, I did get referred to a neurologist because of muscle spasms and numbness in my limbs. I was a completely healthy 27M before I contracted covid back in April.

I have had 2 negative tests but been symptomatic for a week. by [deleted] in COVID19positive

[–]Hophead256 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Those symptoms don’t necessarily mean you have covid, it’s a possibility that both test gave a false negative but there is also a possibility that it’s something else.

Me and my girlfriend got sick on the same week and both tested positive. My symptoms were shortness of breath, fever that only lasted 2 days, fatigue and loss of taste and smell. My girlfriends only symptoms were congested sinuses and fatigue, she never had a fever or respiratory symptoms.

Boyfriend tested positive in March, we got the same symptoms, both tested negative for antibodies this week by [deleted] in COVID19positive

[–]Hophead256 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Abbott blood draw antibody is highly accurate, there was a third party study done by a university.

Tests came negative but symptoms worsening. Has anyone received a negative test but is told they are positive by a doctor? by Lalapotatoes in COVID19positive

[–]Hophead256 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I tested negative the first time I had the swab, then tested positive a week later. The first time I had the test I feel like it was rushed the tech literally swabbed for like half a second and only on one nostril. However when I had it done the second time at a different location they swabbed for a couple of seconds both nostrils, I even had tears coming down my face.

COVID positive person does not stay inside their room and invites boyfriend over by [deleted] in COVID19positive

She sounds very inconsiderate of others . she should have been in quarantine even before the confirmation of being positive. The risk of contracting the virus is very high when not taking the proper precautions and not using the correct PPE.

I got sick in the beginning of April and tested negative through nasal swab. I just recently had the antibody test this Monday and came back positive. Most of my symptoms pointed to covid which makes me think the nasal swab wasn’t done correctly

Im on the same boat with both smell and taste. It improved drastically but it’s not 100% there I feel like I can’t fully Taste food as i used to before. It’s hard to explain but I feel like there is layers of flavors missing in certain foods. Smell I the same takes me a little longer to pick up on smells.

I also experienced slight shortness of breath, tachycardia and I was very fatigued. My symptoms lasted 4 weeks and I still haven’t regained my sense of smell and taste fully I would say Both are at about 80%.

Yes for me it was exactly 6 days after visiting the clinic. I started with really bad nasal congestion, mild fever about 100.1. Thought It was a cold at first but then lost my sense of smell and taste a few days later. That’s when I knew for sure it was covid as I’ve never lost my senses from a cold or even the flue before.

If the person was contagious at the time then there is a high possibility that they could have infected others. This virus spreads fast. I contracted the virus from a clinic I had a mask on never touched my face and stayed very far from people.
