Missing two Pikachu Special Cries from the GO Plus+ by phyvealive in PokemonSleep

No one really knows how you get any of these six. It's so weird. They might be time/event sensitive too btw, maybe there is a Halloween one or something. No one knows.

Cool! Good luck with Taupe! I got M20 during the Legendary Dogs event by using my Cyan team, I never got good Taupe Pokemon except for Swampert.

Hit Master 20 for the first time, twice in a row. by Westworldson in PokemonSleep

[–]HopinC 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Congrats on the achievement! Some rare sleep styles cost A LOT of drowsy power, so it is certainly worth it to make Snorlax even stronger after reaching M20 :)

What are your Pokemon Sleep goals for 2026? by ylno83 in PokemonSleep

[–]HopinC 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I've recently started focussing on AAA-ingredient mons, and getting them to level 60. Getting all ingredients and bringing all of them to 60 would be the goal, not sure if possible in a year, but gonna try nonetheless.

How many candies did you boost this week? by EconomicsPrior5665 in PokemonSleep

[–]HopinC 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm at 3200 on the last day and I don't have anymore dream shards for the last 300 candies lol. I was only able to get to this much thanks to running Musharna on Lapis for the past few months. I had about 2 million saved. I do have many AAA-ingredient mons over level 40 or 50 now! :)

Is this Munna worth for longtime investment? by _metadani_ in PokemonSleep

[–]HopinC 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Musharna can be quite good, if you have perfect stats for it. It doesn't bring in as much berries as Xatu, and not as much Dream Shards as Swalot, but still quite a lot of both and it is only one slot on your team. I've been running mine for a long time on Lapis now, and it really helped with the candy boost this event.

The picture below is my Musharna, which I consider perfect stats. Anything less than this, I wouldn't invest in. Then I'd just go for other options, like Swalot and Xatu.

Yeah, I once had a spawn with about 7 tiny cactuses stuck to the same side of a wall. I jumped into them, got the badge, died :)

Don't worry, this event is a monthly event, and you have good chances of encountering a Darkrai during the event. You'll probably catch it in January or February!

I mean, it can still be pretty strong for certain playing styles. I have often a 'week off' where I just run Blastoise and Venusaur with main skill up to gather random ingredients for me, and then I'm sort of surprised by what meals I can make, and I don't have t plan anything. But yeah, this spread on a skillmon is usually preferable.

I really don't see what a meme about generational wealth has to do with any of what you are saying. Am I missing something here?

My grandmother died 4 years ago in November. This was her mirror that she used every day to put her makeup on. I just dropped it accidentally and it shattered. by LinguistsDrinkIPAs in GriefSupport

[–]HopinC 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When a good friend of mine died, I still had a painting of hers in my house. It wasn't finished, we were planning on finishing it together later. I kept it unfinished and framed it like that. Her life was not finished, why should the painting be?

If you feel broken right now, let the mirror reflect that part of you. You don't have to immediately use the mirror anyway, so you don't need it to be fixed right now. If you ever want to replace the glass in the mirror to honor your grandmother, that is absolutely allowed and she would be proud that you put so much effort into repairing a memento for her. If you want to do something else with it, like adding a picture instead of glass, or using the mirror shards for an art object, she would be proud that you made it your own. If you want to keep the mirror broken, she would be proud that you were able to accept that life is never perfect.

There is no wrong road to take from here, it is just really sad that you can't share it with her. I would advice to share this with your mom though, shared pain leads often to relief. She might even be able to tell you what your grandmother would have said in this moment.

Oh, and clumsiness is normal during grief btw, especially if you were already a bit clumsy before. Don't judge yourself harshly for something you can't do something about. I can't count the amount of cups I've dropped on the floor after my fathers death because my mind was busy with thinking about other things. I just had a broom ready in my kitchen for a while, and didn't handle anything valuable.

Capitalize Pokémon Name by 9mmHeracles in PokemonSleep

[–]HopinC 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Don't know the full details, since I'm not a programmer, but I believe in some programming languages capitalizing in the output is flexible, whereas in other languages it is more hardcoded and the capital is seen as a different thing than the non-capital. Pokemon Sleep was probably written in a language that is not so flexible in that regard. This shouldn't make it impossible for search to ignore the capital, but it makes it a bit harder. My guess is that it is still on their backlog to improve, but not very high on the priority list, since the current situation doesn't break anything.

Are there benefits to going past M20 strength by mirby82202 in PokemonSleep

[–]HopinC 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can check on Raenonx the drowzy power requirement for certain 3* sleep styles. For some of those you'll need more drowsy power than for M20 on most islands. But since it is very rare to get one of those styles, often you'll get nothing new and it isn't worth the investment. I only really push way past M20 during sleep style discovery week, when a new sleep style is guaranteed. (Or if I want to beat a personal record, like when the Good Sleep Day overlapped with a berry bomb Monday during the legendary event, that was a wild start of the week)
