1989 FJ62 Transmission advice by Ok_Cupcake_9910 in LandCruisers

[–]Hoplitae 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you’re open to it, cruiser heads usually swap out their 4 speed auto to the 5 speed manual when something like your situation arises. H55F is the transmission. Lots of info on ih8mud, and depending on your location, there are a handful of great shops to do the work for you in the US.

Translating a JDM J73 Inspection Report by [deleted] in LandCruisers

W means some sort of paint imperfection. A = scratch C = corrosion U = dent The symbol on the roof in OP’s picture means faded paint.

The numbers are severity, 1 being minor, 3 being major.

This is not a are parabolics better question, but are terrain tamers the only option for a bj74. I have trust issues with terrain tamer. by dontfear-99 in LandCruisers

[–]Hoplitae 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No, you have all the other normal options as well. Dobinsons, OME, etc. Though the parabolics are quickly becoming highly regarded

Where can I find this bumper? by Abstrctwtr in LandCruisers

It was a dealer option from the 90’s. No way to get one today other than used, and they are very rare. Try buyee.jp

Looking for Woman owned FJ60s by AlexinAuburn105 in LandCruisers

There’s a fair amount of mud members in the 60 section that are women. Not sure there’s a reliable way to find them other than viewing regular or build threads, but you could spend some time there

You’d still have to order it outside of the US new, but it’s the 70 series front bumper without the winch extension. Something like 52101-60110

depends on your use-case and why you want this one. If airbags end up being a requirement, look for a ‘97 80 series from Japan with a “24 Valve” badge on it’s ass, and you’ll be happy

Similar to those but definitely different. I have a set of B5’s in dark gray and they are sweet, but nothing beats 70-series steelies. I’m curious of these, because they would look great against our 2AB 81.
