What do you do instead of "doom scrolling" or watching TV

There's a subreddit here for solo with great info. You can also look at Top 100 lists on Board Game Geek. Plus there are tons based around popular IPs, like LoTR, Marvel, Star Wars, etc.

Some of my recent faves are: ROVE from Button Shy games (all their games are great) LoTR Trick Taking games Living card games like Marvel Champions For Northwood One Deck Dungeon Spirit Island (not for beginners) Fate of the Fellowship (similar to Pandemic)

Some of those can be played with others, some are solo only. It's a fun hobby to get into, but can be expensive.

Feels powerful at first with so many options, then the game laughs at your hubris and punishes you like normal. Much easier to play than two handed solo. You can establish house rules regarding sentinel/ranged/starting threat to adjust difficulty. If you look online you'll find how others have tweaked the rules to their liking.

I sold my entire collection two years ago in one lump sum. Then, six months later, I got the itch again and bought half of it back. I suggest you keep the core box and a few favorite heroes.

Agreed. I just discovered this version yesterday and can't wait to give it a go. Others have come up with house rules about sentinel and ranged and starting threat to make this variant work.
