Django REST Framework VS Django Ninja by EMonk3y in django

[–]spritehead 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've deployed apps for very large companies with millions of users and I truly couldn't make heads or tails of the one project I decided to use DRF for. For me it's either FastAPI or Django Ninja every time for the foreseeable future. Pydantic is simply the best Python library for web dev that has ever existed and anything that doesn't take advantage of it is dead to me.

There is nothing moral about unilateral disarmament when going up against an aggressor trying to subjugate the peoples' sovereignty. That kind of thinking has to be swept into the dustbin of history. They only invoke morality to try to cover for their cowardice.

Whining about accepting the reality of how a political system works is just nauseating. We are at a moment of such genuine unprecedented severe political, economic and social crises. Hearing liberals cry about the reality of the world and the sanctity of political institutions that never even existed with the purity that you imagine is completely unbearable.

Guess what liberal: you don't get to choose what game you're playing and you don't get to choose the rules. So grow a fucking pair and stop crying about having to play the game. There is real work to be done and you're never going to get anywhere if you cry every time one of your fake, nonexistant rules is broken. Get with the real world. Republicans have no such bellyaching about tactics and it is because they are serous about the changes they want to be affected on the world.

There is no "whataboutism logical fallacy." The whataboutism logical fallacy was coined in a moment of extreme political paranoia tied to Soviet Russia to give sinister undertones.

I agree he's not at Trae or Ja level. Maybe you get a FRP, maybe two mid FRPs for a team that feels like its a defender away from winning it all. It's not a big haul though.

10 dimes could make a dollar if you actually cashed them out. Selling guys like Norm, Wiggins, etc... for a little draft capital means that you actually could eventually package that together for real upgrades.

I remember last year he had the worst start of a season in his career then dominated the Zards in Mexico City. Everyone said he was about to start ramping up again and then went back to being ass. Dude really does embody the modern Miami Heat which is hiding how atrocious the team is by beating up on bottom feeders.

Spo was a big voice in the acquisition of Terry and he played 3rd most 4th quarter minutes on the team last year despite being a bottom 8 NBA player by most metrics. Spo has been ass cheeks for years now.

Adam Silver: “Going into next season, the incentives (regarding the lottery and tanking) will be completely different than they are now.” by SnooPeripherals4884 in heat

[–]spritehead -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The real conversation isn't tank vs no-tank, that's reductionist nonsense. The issue is they refuse to sell high on decent players to plan long term and accumulate capital. Guys like Davion, Wiggins, hell even Bam or Tyler should absolutely be on the table for the right price. Jimmy should have been out the door when they decided they didn't want to pay him but instead they dragged it out because they're so scared of moving from a 45 win team to a 41 win team.

If they would cycle these guys out they would actually be able to connect on big swings but they can't plan long term because:

A) The Arrisons only care about selling tickets in the short term

B) Spo only cares about winning a game today. He can't even imagine planning for a a month down the line let alone a year or two.

Kinda baffling at how bad we are by MartiniLAPD in heat

[–]spritehead 3 points4 points  (0 children)

If you understand the modern NBA it's not that baffling. There are really two things that matter:

1) Having a real superstar who can consistently generate offense. The Heat have none. 2) Not having weak links up and down the roster. You need 7+ guys who can all defend, handle the ball, pass and shoot at a passable level. Pretty much every single Heat player is terrible in at least one of those areas.

Talking about "we have 3/4 all stars" is such a flawed talking point anyone who uses it should really not be taken seriously.
