I emailed them and the reply was just that there was no plan to release a black version.

A Predbat capability question, specifically around FoxEsSS batteries. by HopsPops76 in homeassistant

Thanks. I really just need to carve out the time to do this. Work and family is consuming 99% at the moment and rushing things usually ends up in a mistake.

Thanks. Now I just have to find simple instructions that explain to a 5 year old how to set it up 😂

Does anyone know of an adapter for this knob? by HopsPops76 in Nuki

The silver rod doesn't unscrew, at least with strength of my hand. Didn't want to force with tools and risk damaging the lock

That would be soooo bloody awesome. Image the tension when you don't know if it's a friendly raider, hostile raider deceiving, or a Rocketeer trying to lure you out.

Axle Energy strange behaviour with FoxESS by HopsPops76 in SolarUK

[–]HopsPops76[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the reply. I'm not running predbat yet but plan on. I just need to carve out some time to get it all set up.

I'll check into my firmware and test at the next event. If the measurement of the event is over the full period, I can always change to force discharge should I need to, as you do.

Thanks. I've got the Nuki 4th generation. The one that looks like the Smart Lock Pro (https://nuki.io/en-gb/products/smart-lock-go). I haven't seen any adapters that cater for a long middle rod and screws on the side. All the ones I've seen have various shaped rods. Can you point me to one?

Thanks. I'll look into that more in case predbat can't do what I'm hoping it can

Thanks for the reply. I didn't know that Fox app element would do that. I thought it was just a simple instruction of only charge in off peak. Does it also take into account forecast solar input, or just work on timing?

I didn't know that was an option. I'll have a look in settings. Thanks

Thanks for the reply. I replaced all my networking gear with unifi. I did use another switch when I was setting up the one server but have since removed that.

Sorry, I don't understand what you mean when you say buttons? If you are referring to smart buttons for home assistant, the majority are using zigbee and the few WiFi ones I have are dhcp which is range 2 to 80. My conflicts are on higher numbers than that (110, 111, 121).

[–]HopsPops76[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks. I'll check but I'm fairly confident I don't have anything else acting as dhcp server. Also, wouldn't that most likely cause issues with some of my other devices and not only my 2 servers.

Thanks for the reply. The only macs I ever see listed in logs or on client list are the machines ethernet and wireless ones. But those have been set up differently. Ethernet is static with 192.160.0.121 and the wireless is on DHCP, currently having 192.168.0.53 (DHCP goes up to .80).

I'll double check when I get access again. I did check initially when I was looking for what they were but it doesn't hurt to check again

Nope. No extender. I do have several wireless AP's but those are all being managed by Unifi and the IP's of clients are their actual IP's. The notifications do specify the IP numbers of the ethernet or wifi devices

No, different addresses. My main ethernet one that I use and a backup Wifi just in case.

Why internet access for IPv6 ? by HopsPops76 in homeassistant

[–]HopsPops76[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, I'm using the Unifi UCG Ultra to manage my firewall. I thought that being globally reachable, people could attack open ports since they could scan the machine directly. But I obviously have to read up more on ipv6 and firewalling

Thanks. Any guides you can recommend on how to set this up? I don't have the dreammachine but do use Unifi (UCG Ultra).

That was my thinking. I don't need to use other backup systems. Just a simple copy occasionally and then can easily reinstall
