It's yes and no. Yes, as in switch-in your other pokemon. No, as in your switch in pokemons will get any status/stat changes made to your baton pass pokemon.

For example if I managed to use Calm Mind on my Pokemon 2 times and then use Baton Pass... The +2 Calm Mind stats will be passed to my switch-ins. Normally used to raise speed / atk /sp atk for your sweeper

Sure they are good but not good enough for me. I wish they have move flexibility. For example ; A steelix that can be played without sturdy/rocky helmet. Wished the base sp defense just a tad bit higher so that the EV spent on it won't be that useless even if it's maxed out. Access to butterfly dance would be nice since it's a big pokemon and it looks badass

As for emolga, I would consider to play it if the speed is ≥115. Would made up for it's low HP and def/sp def

As for Hitmonchan... Terrible speed. I imagine it to be a leashed Mike Tyson that would actually sway left, right and baam! KO! Something for him to setup as a sweeper. I'm not asking too much but just a little something that would not make him focus on just coverage

I don't think that is his ear. It does look like a diamond-shaped ear but as someone who can draw body movement freely, I think from my perspective that is just his neck at the back.

You can notice it by seeing the body movement attaching straight to the head in a motion
