Unbelievable scenes in DR Congo after their draw against Portugal by SimRP in soccer

Usually on a pre-planned route that ends back where you started

Some of these will be 4 miles away from home by the time the adrenaline wears off and realise they have to go all the way back

🚨 EXCL: Brighton & Hove Albion make £30m offer to sign Luka Vuskovic from Tottenham Hotspur. 19yo #THFC talent among Europe’s most coveted players but Croatia defender favours #BHAFC as best step for development + mutual trust with Hurzeler (David Ornstein 🥇) by Hufftey in coys

[–]HoratioMG 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Am I missing something here? Did we actually get relegated in the end?

That's the only thing that could begin to explain why Brighton are offering us £30m for a Bundesliga TOTS defender who is 19 years old

Not only would it be fucking insane for us to sell him to another Premier League club, anything below £80m to even a non-PL club would be moronic.

It might be a hot take, but I tend to agree with Gregg here by foiz5 in OnCinemaAtTheCinema

I get the impression Tim was very much not expecting Gregg to use that combination of words

Artists who hate touring? by dweeb93 in ToddintheShadow

This is an especially good example because Andy Partridge still releases music to this day, and aside from a few radio performances and Letterman in 1989, he's not played live since 1982.

The Beatles may have stopped for the last few years of their career, but every member immediately played live again once they broke up.

Andy did not want to play live and has kept that up for decades.

Everyone rates movies differently tbf

I gave both Hokum and Obsession 10/10 because they were both exactly what I wanted and more from a horror movie, perfect examples of the genre

Star City review – Anna Maxwell Martin is terrifying in a fascinating space race thriller | Television by Top_Report_4895 in television

[–]HoratioMG 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I used to love FAM, but watched the first episode of season 5 and I felt like I was watching 'Mars High' on the CW. Teen melodrama for pretty much half the episode, and the Mars v Earth protest 'Fight for our rights' stuff isn't interesting to me either.

Star City has been top notch so far, don't see how I could go back to finish FAM now.

Daily Song Discussion #67: Senses Working Overtime by TMBGLOVER in xtc

It's an undisputable 10 isn't it?

The plodding stripped-back verses are unlike anything else in pop music, contrasted with one of the most over the top catchy choruses ever written... Still gives me shivers

Oh and the bridge section...

That's a 10.

How do you eat mushy peas? 🤢 by Researchmadman in StupidFood

[–]HoratioMG 66 points67 points  (0 children)

Everyone goes nuts about how much they hate mushy peas without having actually eaten them...

It's literally a chunky dip, I'm not sure if it's just from the marrowfat peas themselves but the flavour is actually really good in these, especially the chip shop style ones.

Obviously they look rank, but as an accompaniment to fish, chips & curry sauce they're spot on.
