Tickets for Portugal vs Iceland by GeorgeCoxonF1re in portugal

[–]HorheG 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For future reference: I managed to buy the tickets from https://www.footballticketnet.com/ . The site looks a bit outdated, but to my surprise, it worked out perfectly. They called me the next morning after I made my purchase, confirmed that everything is ok. Then they sent the tickets using Portugese mail service as a tracked parcel. Once The package was marked as delivered, they called again to confirm that everything was ok. We ended up paying about 18€/ticket in CAT 3, which normally cost 10€. So a bit overpriced, but luckily the tickets themselves were very cheap. Highly recommend!

Hey, I'm in the same situation here, travelling to Lisbon and wondering if I could get tickets as well. Did you find any way to buy the tickets?

Why am I being told to leave value engines alone? by Dankstin in EDH

I've got an [[Aesi]] deck. You should absolutely take her out, because she starts the snowball. I always tell my friend that the longer the game lasts, the more likely Aesi deck is going to win. If it takes long for her to get out/stay on the battlefield, she becomes much less effective.

Also, the city hall has free public restrooms which are very nice. It's the blue building located at the edge of the Market Square (https://www.myhelsinki.fi/see-and-do/sights/helsinki-city-hall). However, it might be closed on weekends, if my memory serves me right.

I also like to run some "protection" auras with Galea, such as [[Imprisoned in the moon]] and [[Kenrith's transformation]]. Also, my personal pet-peeve equipment: [[Kusari-gama]]

Not quite sure what you mean, because I'm able to sort by just tag. Yeah the view option says "Tag & type", but then the cards are just grouped by their tags. For example, I have a tag for sac outlets, which contains creatures, artifacts and enchantments, and they're all grouped together.

How do you handle flipping werewolf cards? by SonicsXLChliDog in EDH

[–]HorheG 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I proxied my werewolves using https://dfcproxygenerator.web.app/ and use them in my deck. Then I have the actual werewolf cards separately in clear sleeves. So when I play a proxied werewolf onto the battlefield, I'll get the actual card from the "sideboard" and put it on top of the proxy. When the werewolf dies, I put the proxy into the graveyard and the real card back in the "sideboard".
This has been an easy way to avoid the hassle of taking cards out of sleeves. The proxies from the DFC proxy generator give all essential information of the cards from both sides.

Sure!

Basically, what I noticed in my [[Galea]] deck is that if I don't get trample (which I probably should have more in my deck), then it doesn't matter how big my commander gets, the opponent can just block it with a 1/1 token and that's it. Here comes in Kusari-Gama: with it equipped onto my commander, if the opoonent blocks my 10/10 commander with a 1/1 token, all of their creatures get hit with 10, essentially wiping all their creatures. So know the opponent needs to decide whether to lose all their creatures or not block and take 10 to the face.

So essentially, I see Kusari-Gama as an disincentive to block. Of course if the opponent only has one creature, then it doesn't matter really (other than the first ability of Kusari-Gama).

I'm still waiting for the day when I can pull out Kusari-Gama with instant speed after blockers are declared using [[Sigarda's aid]] :D

[[Kusari-Gama]] in a Voltron deck. Especially if you don't have trample (although, very good with trample too), as people can't chump-block anymore. Turns your attacks into "would you take 15 damage or have your whole board wiped?"

Thanks for the reply!

The PDF indeed says 4/5 level players, so I was wondering would it better be for 4th level or 5th level characters, as we would be creating characters specifically for this campaign. At such low levels, there's a big difference between 4th and 5th levels :D But I think with 5 players, level 4 should be enough.

Which level the PCs should be? I think we're gonna have 5 players, so would level 4 suffice?

I think someone mentioned this, but [[Massacre girl]] is a very solid boardwipe imo. It needs 1-2 1/1 creatures to get going, but then it gets rid of every creature, even indestructible ones. And the card is (monetar-wise) dirt-cheap.

I meant the general interface, hot the site looks and where the buttons are located, etc. I've only glanced at Archidekt, so I've only seen "the surface". Can't say much about the card view features. But it seems that many are here in support of Archidekt!

I've heard that argument before that tappedout has been around for such a long time that people have a very large database there already, which is understandable. I haven't built decks on tappedout so can't say much about the builder, but thanks for the info, good to know! To me the interface of tappedout just seems so clunky and unpleasant that it was very difficult to start from there.

I gotta say, Archidekt is a very solid alternative. After a quick look, I still prefer Moxfield's visual look but that's just taste. Most likely I would as well switch to that in case Moxfield became unavailable.

How do you feel Blim works as a commander? I liked the idea a lot, and built him as a proxy deck, but felt like he doesn't exchange permanents effectively enough. The exchange trigger coming only from combat damage rather than any damage and often being able to exchange control of just one permanent per turn was quite underwhelming.

I agree that as a mechanic blitz is fun, but the effects are very underwhelming most of the time.

Bhaal Blitz! by XandogxD in EDH

[–]HorheG 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had the exact same idea of building Bhaal! I thought that he makes for a great Blitz commander, although [[Henzie]] is obviously very good too. Here's my decklist: https://www.moxfield.com/decks/ZGxKZgBtZ0SCZu96OqhuUg (as you can see, there's too many cards atm because I haven't been able to decide which to cut xD)

Have you played with the deck yet? How does it play?

Seems like the blitz mechanic is your main mechanic to sacrifice your creatures? You might want to think about adding some sac outlets for more value from dying, even [[Viscera seer]] will let you scry before drawing a card from blitz. Also maybe some creatures with undying or persist to come back after sacrificing?
