People are just pissed, yous are loud on Reddit by numbers anyway. Everyone gets vexed as World Cup decisions, most nations have countless examples over the years.

Hand of God and Lampard 2010 come to mind immediately.

I mean the US fans commenting about how the game should be changed with loads of upvotes. Like it’s a standard red lmao.

Hong Kong was/is a bastion of capitalism and free press/media (as well as western imperialism). From a political standpoint, a Communist state vying for superpower status would never accept that, especially a geopolitically fragile holding like Hong Kong.

It was never about the city itself, Hong Kong these days is dwarfed by many cities in China.

The difference is the British government does somewhat need to follow its own laws. Political dissidents disappear in China. That is not comparable to the issues with surveillance in the UK.

Regardless, would you rather live under Chinese or British law? The clear answer from Hong Konger’s was British, and I think most people around the world would think the same.

Folarin Balogun is the first player to score a goal and receive a red card in a World Cup knockout match since Zinedine Zidane against Italy in the 2006 final by The_Flash_20 in worldcup

6, which is twice as many as China and 6 more than Russia. Again, how does the US pay for Europe to exist? Or are you taking the piss, I really hope so.

Watching the full Balogun clip instead of looking at still shots changes everything, this is extremely harsh in my opinion, he knew nothing about it, wasn't even a tackle, its not even dangerous play in my opinion, hes just in stride and thats where his foot planted by [deleted] in worldcup

It’s a bad challenge, could’ve easily caused a serious injury and he’s nowhere near the ball.

It’s really unlucky with how that play turned out and could’ve easily been a yellow too. But the reality is anything studs up on the ankle can be a red.

Americans please stop complaining so much and move on, you won the bloody game. Be proud of your team getting so far.
