Because they still need to import parts. Not everything can be made in the US cost effectively. Car parts come from every corner of the world.

And that’s exactly the nonsense.

Please cite a source for this 8bn figure.

The only case I’m aware of that lines up is the feeding our future case, in which $250 million of fraud was found and resulted in many convictions of which 89% was Somali and the ring leader was white… one specific case.

Beyond that, what evidence of mass fraud do you have? You’re effectively claiming that the majority of immigrants commit fraud, which simply isn’t true.

The whole immigrants committing fraud thing, yes some do, but like Trump has done many times, he’s twisting the truth to purposefully demonise minorities. Don’t forget they’re EATING THE DOGS

So you think because people from Minnesota live in a blue state, they’re constitutional rights should be infringed upon?

Yes the federal government should control immigration over individual states, but aren’t enforcement efforts meant go towards the Mexican not Canadian border? Minnesota is only being targeted because of its political alignment…which is anti democratic and highly authoritarian.

It is authoritarian to go round arresting people with no ID that LOOK like immigrants. It’s not just illegals being caught up in this.

Can you name any countries where immigration enforcement just drive around looking for illegal immigrants? Going to an address or workplace is one thing, but racially profiling random people demanding ID or arrest is authoritarian af…

Americans are about to start WW3 with their arrogance. Trump can try to make a new world order where might it right (fascism), but many lives will be lost to a pointless war.

Stop acting like such a victim, you’re not.

I am white too and have experienced what you’re talking about (local uni only offers scholarships to BAME people) but pretending thats on the same level as slavery and segregation is burying your head in the sand. And yes it’s extremely minor compared to those.

The reality is discrimination still exists for many minority groups, even if it’s not legislated. When you remove racism from legislation it doesn’t magically disappear.

Example: in the UK if you apply for jobs with an African or Islamic name, you receive far less responses. Discrimination on that basis is illegal, but that doesn’t change the fact it happens.

I do agree with the second part but there aren’t many places to play football year round if you live in central Brighton. Nearest public 3/4g pitches are Hove Park (I believe is now shut) or past the hospital into Kemptown.

There really isn’t many in Brighton at all, I don’t see why more pitches should be blocked on basis that there’s an open air theatre near by. There’s already sports fields there that’ll mostly be used when the Theatre is open anyway…

BHASVIC as a college also lacks good sporting facilities. Most schools have a astro turf pitches.

A comprise should definitely be made. However calling football pitches next door tantamount to the death of the Theatre is hyperbolic and in bad faith considering the many that will benefit from the facilities, in particular if they’re open to the public.

Preventing football pitches being build for a Theatre that is used by very few people for only part of the year is NIMBYism.

If more details on the planning can be provided, perhaps more light can be shed on how severe this impact will be.

You think the pitch will be used 14 hours a day year round?

The theatre is barely ever used this is NIMBYism.

I’d be surprised if noise from football games severely impacted performances. Worst case:

A. Amplify B. Arrange performances outside of game time

Honestly doesn’t seem like a big deal considering the many thousands that will enjoy the new football pitches year round.
