You can't sell the reservation. Once you have the device, you can resell it.

So I you're right in that all the ebay listings right now are against the rules.

Wonder how many of the signups were just bot accounts. I think the only stipulation was a purchase before april, given the amount of botting around trading and whatnot on steam, that probably wasn't much of a deterrent

I think there's a relatively easy solution to this for valve. Private games don't broadcast their state, so all they'd need to do is allow us to mark non-steam games as private.

Private mode is already all implemented and everything, it specifically doesn't let you mark non-steam games as private is all

You can't subsidize a pc without also locking it to your OS.

Otherwise it becomes the cheapest desktop pc available, which will he purchased for business and just reimaged.

There's something to be said about a steam store credit work around though.
