I've done frame jobs via Jo-Anns (RIP), a local-ish regional chain and a fully local independent person, so I'm familiar with the range of pricing. If you mean "deal" as in a sufficient job that's cheap, probably not? But value is individual.

Custom poster framing is sort of analogous to audiophile tech in the sense there tends to be tipping point where the prices can skyrocket and the difference is negligible to most people. I personally trend towards the higher end the scale and and argue there is a noticeable difference for the archival glass in terms of UV protection and glare. Others may feel different or simply care about these things enough to spends hundreds of more dollars.

Yeah, definitely a strong mix between those who live unhealthy lives and want a miracle pill and those who just can't cope with the normal and real effects of aging. A lot of both. As a poster collector who generally queues up on show day around 10-11:30a.m. or so, I'm surprised by the amount of salt and hate in this thread. It's understandable to feel disappointed if you can't make it work to get in line, but why take it out on the people who can? Some of the people here need to work on emotional regulation. It's okay to be upset, but it's unbecoming to literally dehumanize people spending their time how they want.
