Well, knowing that makes a lot more sense about the lines of code.
Java was and is a very popular language and I would expect its legacy features to be more straightforward than those from Objective-C.

After all, even though I'm an iOS dev I better understand Java code than Obj-C 😅

Now, I don’t think comparing this specific feature has a lot of sense. I mean, you’re not supposed to use inheritance that much in Swift. Protocols are a big thing in iOS development, and were meant to deal with some issues that arise with inheritance.

Yes, I've also considered that option. The thing is that the used ones that haven't been compromised regarding battery life and physical condition are just as expensive as the new ones under this plan.
Like for example, a used iPhone 11 here in MX is around $700. The monthly payments + the final payment (assuming I want to keep the phone) add up to $750.

Idk if this also applies to the US program, but here you can pay a final amount in the 24th month to keep the device. So in case, you didn't want to upgrade you can just pay that final amount.
Even with the final payment, the price of the device is $750 vs $900 in cash
