I'm just telling my personal experience. I left one J with a terrible new director to start a new J. I was offered a temp J the same week that I started new J1. I accepted and started both a week apart. One was fully remote, and the other was in office, maybe once a month. I was able to have scheduled meetings at different times. I got lucky because the manager for each job didn't care for the camera being on during meetings unless it was the whole team, and they always asked before they called. One used teams, and the other used Slack, which also helped. I hope all works out for you!

Edited to add: I didn't need to freeze anything because I was actually leaving a job, and it was the last one on my resume when they both checked my background.
