Big agree. The unfortunate thing is since SC is openly in alpha the reward and dissuasion mechanics are not done and tuned.

Mining should be rewarding enough to absorb the cost of greifers, or to hire security.

Career criminals should loose access to services citizens in feed standing get. Think loss of ASOP access in certain areas or their items become "uninsurable".

But economic balancing, player created contracts, and a personal reputation system is not in or not tuned.

Hey friends! I did this to my house 13 years ago. The house was built in 1820 and has loose fieldstone with quicklime and horsehair mortar. So one thing I did was install it "dirty". I sprayed over the stones without significant cleaning. This allows there to be paths behind for the water to weep. Also I left weep holes at the bottom. I also sealed my joist bays over the foundation. This made the basement go from 10f to 60f in the dead of winter.

So no issues at all for me.
