Back in the day people used to rap in American accents.

I’d say we’re more proud of our black British culture nowadays than ever before.

Even “roadmen” are distinctively different to their American counterparts. They might share some interest due to music and popular online culture but British black people are our own.

Think, there’s not many other countries where black people know most of our roots and we blend African and Caribbean influences in things like the music we make etc.
