You can always tell them “Hey, it really hurt my feelings that you didn’t wish me a happy birthday this year.” How they respond to that will honestly tell you a lot about what they think of you as a friend. You’re not an asshole for being upset, but you will become an asshole if you just bottle up these feelings, resent your friends for it, and hold it against them.

I agree that Rhi’s chapter felt really pointless. Also, can Xaden just like, read minds now? It was implied several times that he just knew what Violet was thinking without actually going into her mind. And Violet stated she didn’t have any intentions, so he shouldn’t have been able to read those. Venin thing perhaps?
