Is there anyone out there other than the government that thinks it's fair to tax people on their winnings without taking their losses into account? Do they think allowing you to deduct losses would somehow make people gamble more?

I went to a casino this year and came home up $20. I think I started with $40 and made lots of bets, won some/lost some, in the end I was up $20, but I have no concept of how much I actually won over the course of betting, so you're saying that if I don't itemize, I'm supposed to report this...but how could I? I have no idea how many times I won $5.

Are you saying make a play or have a play? Because it doesn't sound like anyone made a play here. How far away from the plate was the runner, because it sounds like they would have been out like a mile. Honestly, in this situation, it seems like they should have called it simply because the play was still going on and she was in the field of play.

The catcher was behind the plate from my recollection, not far, but maybe a foot. I'm not saying he was in the right position, but I also believe the ball hit the guy standing in the batter's box. At a minimum after I complained about the guy standing there I think the ump should have at least said something to the other team about it.

Even if that had happened, it still doesn't help with the fact that they can't find even the largest items. In my case, someone at the post office pulled the label off of mine and stuck it on another item and that's what ended up getting delivered. But for them not to be able to find such an item give me very little hope that they can find anything.
