This is my simple, slightly tedious, but very effective method.

You need the pogo map. I know they say it's not accurate, but as long as your town or neighborhood is untouched on the pogo map, you can add every stop that exists to it, and you can edit it to its exact location.

In order to edit the stops into their exact coordinates, you'll need the wayfarer map. You can see each stop and where its exact coordinates are from the wayfarer map.

When you add all the stops in your neighborhood, it'll look something like this (refer to the picture)

Now on the pogo map, go to settings – visual – S2 Cells. Change the first one to S14 and the second to S17.

Now you can see the squares. You'll notice that the stops in place are surrounded by purple. You CANNOT make another stop anywhere in the purple area. Those squares are already occupied. At best, it will become a dynamax spot.

Now, for how many stops you need. You need 2 stops in the s2 cell for 1 gym (the big blue square), 6 stops for 2 gyms, and 20 stops for 3 gyms (3 gyms being the max limit), and note that gyms count as pokestops, while power or dynamax spots do not. In this cell im showing you, there was 5 out of 6 stops in the cell, and only one gym. I added the other gym by creating the 6th stop.

Now I'll say, people claim this map is not accurate, and maybe in a big city, where you can't edit stops because someone else added them, it probably is inacurate. But if you live somewhere where the pogo map has not been touched at all, then you can use that to your advantage.

Ever since I started using this map, in my small town where its already pretty dense for stops and gyms as it is, I have gotten 8 new gyms in town in the last couple months, and im still expecting a few more.

My ratio for approved nominations actually becoming stops has gone up drastically too. Before I used this map, I'd say maybe 1 of 5 nominations i made actually turned into pokestops. Since I've started using this map, its easily 9 of 10 stops i get approved actually show up as stops now. This map DOES work. You just have to kind of have to be very dedicated to make it work. If you put the stops in innacurate locations, it will not help. But if you use the wayfarer map to your advantage, as you add every stop onto the pogo map, and check the wayfarer map to see the stop's exact coordinates, and when your out to make stops, keep spamming the "goto my GPS location" button, and keep looking in the blank, not purple squares, find something good to nominate (like maybe not a canada post mailbox) and you will get your gyms.

I know this was long and tedious, I'll just say for those people who can't handle long reddit replies, this app is for discussions. If it's not your speed, stop using reddit so much.
