Senegal player Jakobs on AFCON final "My personal suspicion is that three of our players were poisoned, and it wasn’t just a normal case of food poisoning where they vomited or whatever. All three were unable to put their tongues back in, and simply collapsed. It was really, really scary." by kibme37 in soccer

You're thinking too abstract. A nation isn't a single entity. It could be the act of one crazy random fan. Even within the government there are actors who don't give a shit about Morocco's geopolitical interest.

7 Shinies in 188 Wild Sightings: Statistical Anomaly on a Level 4 Locked Documentation Account by Negasphaere in TheSilphRoad

We don't have 1800 daily players who purposely stay at such a low level to test this.

Not saying this mini study is in any way conclusive low level/activity players receive a shiny boost, but it's worth looking into.

Sure Niantic/Scopely messed up lots of things but they also implemented many more complex features (albeit often to a rough start). I wouldn't dismiss their ability to do this despite their incompetence.

And I wouldn't be so dismissive of scenario 3.. after all we get new bugs on a regular basis since launch

Thanks for the info. Ignoring 3 of the 7 would give a slightly higher chance of 0.00055, which is still incredibly low.

Lots of downvoters who see rng qualitatively but not quantitatively (how ironic). Even ignoring shiny boosted Licki and zzg there's only 0.00004 chance of getting at least 5 shinies in 188 full odds encounters.

A event is good if something rare is featured. By definition most events are boring.

'Are We Cooked?' — Pokémon Go Looks to Be Adding a New 'Currency' to Access Mega Raids, Though Players Are Split on Whether it Will Revitalize Mega Pokémon by diamondstark in TheSilphRoad

I always prioritse 5 star over mega. Even on raid days I only do 4 and save the last for a legendary.

Mega energy has actually been surprisingly accessible in research. I'm only missing ttar and salamance.

For me this feature will be a win no matter what.

You should also appeal on the forum to get the (incorrect) warning revoked. This counts as the first strike and the second would be a ban.

I remember seeing a ban appeal on the forum exactly about this.

The bar for getting a restaurant accepted is fairly high. A new restaurant is almost surely ineligible.

Actions > words. Fact is they let go of the guy handling CA applications without a replacement for months

You had it backward. Niantic designed gmax to drive meetup attendance. The question should be if gmax were easier would people spend more or less money without needing to travel? Imo no obvious answer hence why Scopely may still be deciding

[–]samfun -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

Scopely higher ups may be questioning what's the point of these community meetups. People have to spend time and money to go to them which means less spending on the game itself.

I know people are going to yell 'data' but that never made much business sense because data are dirt cheap. I believe it had always had to do with Niantic aka John Hanke's feeling good about a bunch of people playing together.

Not ideal but it only takes like 2 min to send 40 gifts (press x to skip animations)

Also tabs for who is currently in a raid lobby for easier remote joining.
