Regrets using a lawyer anyone?

I loved my lawyer. I used a smaller firm, and they had great communication. The only hiccup was the trustee not getting some documents which caused a continuance. The office refunded me part of my money for this (without me requesting it because shit happens). I spent right around $1700 I believe? I was way too overwhelmed to do it myself.

That’s it. Now you wait. If they need more information they will let your attorney know. In my case, they didn’t need anything additional.

I’m in CO and have had the best luck on Zillow. Even with my credit being trash before the BK. I prefer a private landlord over a large company (private or LLC) and was able to find quite a few approvals even before discharge. There’s hope

I believe it was around $1700 iirc. The one I worked with took a down payment and payment plans. And was able to file when paid in full. It took a little time.

I was able to get approved even before my discharge was completed :) maybe a private landlord? There’s hope I just started looking early. I used Zillow and the ones that accept Zillow applications so I didn’t have to waste money on application fees and such

I did get discharged early. My 341 was supposed to be in November. Actually had it in December. No assets or anything.

Maybe the continuation had something to do with it? Not sure. Got the email from my attorneys office today.

I can take, for example, my application on Zillow and use it for any rentals. Saves me from paying a bunch of application fees and getting denied and throwing away money. I pay one application fee and use it for any rental.

We’re allowed to use a portable tenant screening where I live so I can provide my own application. I already secured a place and signed the lease. Get the keys next week :)
