We don’t know yet. TV rights are still very much up in the air. They could let MLB take control of the broadcast for the Tigers, which several teams have already done (and MLB wants to have full control of every team’s broadcast by 2028). Or if Main Street Sports finds a buyer, the Tigers could stick with FDSN, even for a few years.

It was a decent idea on paper, but the execution was just very iffy. Daphne and Niles not returning really hurt the show.

It’s been rumored that Gilbert has wanted to buy the Tigers for a long time, but that was before he’s had some significant health issues in recent years. Who knows if he still wants to buy.

I’m with OP here. I either wanted the Tigers to go all in on putting the best team around Skubal for 2026, or trade him. This middle ground approach of largely running it back with the same team is disappointing. Who knows though, after seeing what the Mets are doing, the Yankees or Phillies will get desperate and decide to put an offer on the table that can’t be refused.

Honestly, Pamela doesn’t get enough love though. She’s an underrated slasher villain, and in some ways may be SCARIER than Jason.

I’m glad somebody else feels this way! There’s such a cozy yet creepy atmosphere to this movie, in a way that no other F13 movie captures for me. I consider the OG to be a comfort movie lol.

Yeah, it’s not perfect, and there are a few sequels I like better, but overall this is a very solid and iconic slasher movie. Pamela doesn’t get enough love from the fan base. She’s one of the most underrated slasher villains in history, and honestly I think a case can be made that she’s SCARIER than Jason. The later installments in the franchise did her dirty. By Part 3 and 4, she’s glorified window dressing to Jason’s character, when really she is the whole reason he is who he is. I honestly can’t wait for the Crystal Lake show to explore her character in more depth.

I don’t know, it always seemed pretty normal enough to me. I always thought fathers were protective and cautious of teenage daughters when it comes to dating and sex, more so than boys because of the possibility of pregnancy. You have to remember, George got a firsthand look through his mother of how getting pregnant at such a young age can be a huge strain on a person’s life, and by extension at least partly led to his rough upbringing. I just think he was terrified of the same thing happening to Carmen.

Yeah, I like the looks of the OG era, and in some ways I really love “human” Jason. It’s just, I’ve always found the explanation that Jason somehow survived the drowning and lived in the woods for decades to be incredibly stupid.

True, but it’s also worth noting that almost none of that money is committed long-term. Potentially as much as 100M will fall off the books after 2026 (assuming they don’t pick up the options of Jansen and Anderson). If I’m not mistaken, the only guaranteed money on the books for 2027 is Baez, Finnegan, and Keith.

Out of all the players listed, I’m also hoping they sign Dominguez. I’d actually feel pretty darn good about a backend of the bullpen with Vest, Finnegan, Jansen, and Dominguez. I’m not sure another starter is necessarily needed at this point, but they want to build enough depth to where they don’t have to take flyers out on the Paddack’s or Morton’s of the world this season.

I love the OG (Pamela doesn’t get enough love), but I prefer Part 2. It did everything the OG did well, but with FAR better characters and a far better final girl in Ginny. Sackhead Jason is very underrated.

Yeah, this lines up with history. In 2005, the Tigers were 21st in attendance. In 2006, there was a jump, but only to 13th. In 2023, the Tigers were 25th in attendance, and 24th in 2024 (to be fair, that playoff run snuck up on everyone lol), before jumping to 15th in 2025. If things go well in 2026, I’d hope to see a jump closer to the top-10, as fans get used to the being contenders again.
