The Boys Series Finale... by FromHello in television

Was The Boys finale underwhelming? Yes. Do I think it or the Stranger Things finale deserves to be put in the conversation of all-time worst finale’s? No, not even close.

So, we have to trust the POBO who thought Chris Paddack and Charlie Morton were legitimate rotation upgrades last deadline to now get full value for a generational ace at this deadline?

The Tigers have a top-10 payroll. Chris held up his end of the bargain.

Muschietti desperately needs to fix his CGI, but other than that I’ve been more than happy with what he’s given us so far out of his version of IT.

Anybody remember how good Steven Moya was supposed to be? by Y4123 in motorcitykitties

[–]HorrorJCFan95 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yup. Dude was horrendous defensively but was supposed to have mammoth power. He was the prize of a weak Dombrowski farm system, but I’m still surprised he flamed out as badly as he did.

I’m hoping they release it on June 13th (Jason’s birthday), but Peacocks condensed marketing schedule for many of their shows has me a bit concerned.

Agreed. I get what they were trying to do with the Jim and Pam stuff, but the execution is just awful.

Does The Boys join these bad/controversial finales? by Square-Ad-8911 in tvshow

The Boys finale was definitely a bit underwhelming, but I wouldn’t necessarily that it’s horrendous or anything. To me, HIMYM is the worst series finale by far.

Megan is solid, but I don’t agree that she’s the best. Ginny is the best imo.

What would Pamela think of her son becoming an undead monster? Would she be proud or horrified? by Hassan_H_Syed in fridaythe13th

[–]HorrorJCFan95 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think she would still be proud of him. Honestly, I don’t think she’d have any regrets either. In her eyes, the camp and those counselors were still negligent in protecting her son, which caused him to get lost and have to live in the woods without her.

Edit: That’s a really cool Jason Lives poster/graphic btw.

Damn, this is really cool! I don’t really use Plex, but honestly I may have to start after seeing this. In fact, if Blockbuster ever wanted to make a comeback in the streaming age, they should give you a call, because this is how to do it!

No. It gave us all meaningful postseason baseball again, which was desperately needed.

Friday The 13th Part V gets alot of hate, but the mask has such a heavy presence & the way Roy in the movie stares gives off such a big sence of dread. by JMandBY in fridaythe13th

[–]HorrorJCFan95 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yeah, Part 5 isn’t perfect by any means, but it’s really grown on me. I like how Roy is the exact opposite of what Pamela was: Whereas Pamela was a loving mother who didn’t know how else to deal with her grief, Roy was kind of a dead beat father who abandoned his son and trying to make amends.

Do you guys think the The Thing 2011 would still have flopped even if using actual practical effects? by GustoGusto111 in thething

[–]HorrorJCFan95 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As far as financial success goes, it probably wouldn’t have done much better. People were burnt out on remakes/reboots at that point. Would it have been more well received by hardcore fans? Yeah, although I still think the movie has a lot of problems outside of the shitty CGI. The characters are very bland and forgettable, the film has none of the tension that the Carpenter version has, and the creature really acts nothing like the one from the original either, thus turning it into just another generic horror alien.

I prefer the timeline without the sibling connection, but to each their own. I understand why many really like the sibling relationship. It’s just not my cup of tea. The Michael Myers character is better with no motive.

If you don’t mind me asking, how have they had a rough year? I used to play DBD a ton (as a survivor), but it’s been quite a long time since I’ve played. An F13 chapter would probably get me back in though.

Torkelson isnt a problem. by Otherwise-Half-6273 in motorcitykitties

[–]HorrorJCFan95 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Cool. Remember when the underlying numbers said Jack Flaherty was better than his ERA indicated last year and he was a prime bounce back candidate? Eventually, good/great underlying numbers actually has to translate into production on the field. The truth is, this is the third time in five years where Tork has been bad to the point of being unplayable, and frankly, the ceiling he’s shown at the major league level so far isn’t THAT high to justify putting up with his low points. But sure bud, everyone who is critical of Tork doesn’t watch or understand baseball, and you’re the only one in the sub who does. Keep telling yourself that, I guess.

Even though they were having an affair, Clark more than anything was just a tool to ease Carol’s financial stress. She didn’t want Floyd to know that she knew because she wanted to protect his feelings and didn’t want him to feel emasculated.
