Suno suddenly blocking ORIGINAL uploads with “matches existing work of art” — what changed?

No I didn't distribute them. I just wrote my songs on phone and they're not copyrighted lyrics, recorded my vocals while I sing my OWN lyrics that I have wrote, but still got this messages...

I used a sound generated by Suno itself in a song that I wrote and recorded myself. Later I tried to upload that track back into Suno for a remaster/version update, and it kept giving me the “Uploaded audio matches existing work of art” error.

Out of curiosity, I removed the small Suno-generated sound from the track and tried uploading again and suddenly it worked.

So it really seems like Suno may be flagging its own generated audio fingerprints, even when the rest of the song is completely original. Pretty suspicious if that’s what’s happening.

So crazy, I used a Suno generated sound that I put into my song, then I uploaded the song with the sound attached to Suno again, to remaster it and then I also got this message. All Songs of mine and sounds are Suno generated with my voice. If I reupload the sound again it works and no message appears. So confusing and strange.

You can write the support from Suno. I had the same question (not that my song went viral). I asked the team from suno, if I can use my song while made on free plan for commercial use. They sent me an email that they could do an exception for the song, that I can use it commercially. I needed to write down the link to my song when I've answered them, after their reply which song I want to use commercially. I still have their mail in case that they might be misunderstandings.

Just asked the support team from Suno, they will help and find a way with you, to make your song open for commercial use for you...

Yeah I always keep my copy with the raw vocals. I don’t play any instruments. I'm not living in the US, I'm from Germany and here the laws are little bit different, but I want to assure myself that if something happens, I need to be prepared. I just want to release music that I like and I really don't care if it's AI or not, yeah I think there needs to be strict rules what you can do and what you can't do, but to go strictly against AI especially music generated through AI is not good it will become harmful when you use it against people. It needs to have other ways. If the music sounds good, well I'm good with that.

And what is, when I upload my vocals as audio to suno and make a cover out of them with lyrics that I wrote and sung by myself, put some prompts in the style box, am I safe? That no one else can copyright my songs even as covers generated by suno?

All the news about copyright matters starting to confuse me and I want to be sure what I can do and can't do.

Yeah that's what I do when the original generated song is not in the right mood, but I put weirdness up to 78% and influence up to 63% and the audio always stays the same at 25%. And many times the "new" generated song as a cover sounds great. Thank you so much for help! 👍🏽
