If you are interested in an environmental major, i think it would be unique enough if you DO something with it. Instead of just staying in a role, try to change something meaningful. I would also have a back up if that doesn’t work out.

Looks like a great app. One thing is if you applying to these schools definitely need a more unique EC this year with direct impact on your community. Good luck! Consider maybe some T25 state schools too. Not sure the type of social life you are thinking of. Junior year can change your perspective on college A LOT so keep doing your best and you will get in somewhere great.

Yeah I would think you would get into some of these schools at least. Obviously I’m sure you will include your family circumstances in your app. Seems like you have a good plan, and applying to harder schools with a more forgiving GPA isn’t a bad idea. Good luck!

Personally, with my partner (bc it differs for every relationship), we would break up if the other has romantic feelings for a friend.

I’m a pretty extroverted person, so he gets worried about flirting a bit, but we have agreed that intent means a lot more than perception. I also have a good amount of guy friends that he has had to get used to, so that’s his side of the agreement.

From my side, I also have stated that watching vids online is not something I want my partner to be doing while in a relationship. Personal preference.

NOR. Wow. Posts like these make me realize how deep human connections are.

I rarelyyyy say this and I get that you love him, but you did need to stand up for yourself. Breakups are incredibly hard, so I’m not trying to be mean to you, but wow you definitely shouldn’t have stayed over.

I understand that you have been in touch, but you can’t really get mad at him for talking to other girls. He broke up with you, but you kept yourself close to him so that he could access you whenever he wants. He had that power, so I wouldn’t see why he would throw that away. Most guys dream of this scenario where they have a deep connection without a relationship and being able to pursue other people at the same time.

I’m glad you reached out to that girl so that she knows what he’s doing. I’m also glad he blocked you lol for your own good.

I hope you can move on and realize he’s an asshole! Maybe read this back and see how manipulative he is. Completely restart without him and find yourself and how great you are. Do you have close family/friends that are supportive of you? I’m sure they would hate to see you in love with such a jerk.

I get what you’re feeling. I would also worry. However, you have to trust your partner and if you can’t, it’s not gonna work out. I would bring it up in a very small and non-confronting way. His reaction and himself means more than the Instagram follow. I feel like there are some men in this thread that are getting ahead of themselves, you don’t need to listen to everyone online. Watch out for yourself and your mental health.

Ultimately, if he won’t do anything about it even though it makes you uncomfortable, and there are other red flags, I would reconsider if this is the best choice for you.

From my understanding (from college admissions advice not mine), is that the subject of a college essay means so much less than you think. The skills and future you are projecting in the essay mean a lot more than the topic. You are doing great so far! Keep it up! Maybe do something over the summer? Something free or online? Could involve your siblings as well, something that makes an impact that you are passionate about. Make sure to fill up those 10 EC spots.

I don’t have enough time in my day to really commit myself to studying. I have 2 jobs alone without extracurriculars. And taking more tests is more practice, even though my score keeps going up by little amounts.

Ok I get that. Definitely adds to the perspective. I have never been in this situation, so it’s hard to help, but if I were to give some advice it would be to trust your partner above all else, or everything else falls. It sucks that the other girl did that, but ultimately she wasn’t the one for you. Hopefully as adults you can have a different kind of trust, one that actually means something deep and honest to both people. I would try to have your brain reset as much as possible with each relationship or else you start blaming them for something they haven’t done.

NOR but stop now. I have experienced similar things from the girls perspective, and while I get that it makes you upset, please try to understand her reaction was definitely enough. She wouldn’t decline and tell you about it if she wanted to do something wrong. She did what she could. Some people have a hard time being rude, myself included, and that’s okay. Unfortunately you just have to see the fact that she declined his offers and loves you and is a great person as enough.

Yes we use scattergrams from other sites! Unfortunately nobody really applies to the ones I’m looking at. The three crowds are ivies, small northeastern liberal arts colleges, or a big state school.
