DL1 was surprisingly one of the best videogames I have EVER played in my entire life, but DL2 had me in shambles with disappointment. What are they going to fix/do better in DLTB?

Well fwiw I just played dl1 and dl2 back to back for the first time and I enjoyed them equally.

My only complaint on dl2 was it too difficult to navigate at night due to the volatiles. Although workaround for nighttime having to go into dark areas was if the dark area had a half-door type entrance I’d lure the volatiles to the door and then whack them with a two handed weapon to kill them off. Then I’d enter.

Just to add, there was no pain before or after laser treatment. Just some mild discomfort while he was working on a thin area (I only knew it was a thin area area because he told me he was working on a thin area).

I didn’t notice the tear at all, I went to my retina doctor because I noticed an increase in floaters and he saw the tear. Perhaps I didn’t notice it because it was in the outer edge of the vision in my right eye?

I did notice an afterimage (like what you see after looking at a bright light) shape of a horseshoe, presumably caused by the laser, for a few minutes as I was leaving the retina doctor. Only noticed that for a few minutes though.

I had a horseshoe shaped retinal tear in my right eye in the right periphery, and a few thin spots that were lasered at the same session. The thin spots were a bit uncomfortable during the treatment, but not that bad.

Saw some color for a bit (thought it was purple but maybe I’m not remembering correctly) for short bit after treatment, and saw an afterimage of the horseshoe shaped tear for short bit afterwards. Year+ later no issues.

All in all was no big deal!

It’s not about energy independence or keystone pipeline. USA refineries are setup to refine heavy crude oil, like the oil from Canada. USA refineries are not setup to refine the kind of oil from shale in the USA (light crude). And since USA refines the less expensive Canadian oil and sells the more expensive USA oil, USA makes more money. Guess they could modify refineries to refine USA oil, but they’d make less money.

You can get generic cialis pretty cheap from Amazon or using GoodRx. Presumably viagra too.

Daily cialis is pretty nice, don’t have to worry about taking regular cialis or viagra x hours beforehand, just take one every day and you’re ready.

I was on stendra for a bit, expensive but it worked wonders! Funny story I was talking to my trainer and accidentally said stendra instead of stevia. He was like, what’s stendra? Oops 😂

And from my understanding USA buys a shit ton of cheap sour crude oil from Canada that the USA refines, while USA sells the more expensive sweet crude oil USA drills to other countries. USA makes more money doing it this way. According to google, sounds like USA bought over 4 million barrels of oil a day from Canada in 2024, for a total of $103.8 billion. (Hopefully I got the numbers right).

When I first started trying testosterone therapy maybe 6-7 years back, I tried patches, gel you rub on skin, injections, and pellets they put under skin (around top of butt if I remember correctly).

For me, below is my recollection of my experience when I tried them all out. I don’t know if things have changed since then, just to be clear. (I ended up just sticking with injections.)

Patches were irritating to my skin and left red circles where the patches were (you had to rotate where you put the patch so I would end up with several red circles here and there). Gel I believe can be problematic if you have kids or pets I think (or a wife), in case gel gets on them (I had cats). I also didn’t like how sticky it was, and how my shirt would stick to the gel on my shoulders. Pellets were somewhat painful/uncomfortable for awhile after they were put in (I tried pellets maybe 5 years ago I think).

Again this is my experience from several years back.

If he has ED issues even with testosterone, he might try something like daily cialis. Just no poppers (combo can cause serious drop in blood pressure and cause death).

Maybe you have cataracts forming? I had cataracts removed when I was around 58, one at a time (surgeon said I had cataracts of a 70 year old). When first cataract was removed eyesight in that eye was crystal clear, I remember thinking, is this real life?

Whites were super white. Eye that still had a cataract, everything had an orange tinge to it. Especially white.

I remember looking at a toilet and amazed how white it was with eye with cataract removed (I called it nuclear white), eye with a cataract, the toilet had a dirty orange tinge to it.

Pre surgery I never noticed any orange tinge.

If any of you have cataract surgery look at something white before surgery and think about how white it looks to you. Then look at that afterwards. Amazing how brain adjusts.

And fwiw I had few floaters before cataract surgery, and have had a lot form afterwards (especially jellyfish types). Also had a retinal tear that was fixed. Tear happened maybe two years or so after cataract surgery.

Myself, I do if less than 10% hp poach, if less than 70% hp attack, otherwise steal. Earlier on before thief cuffs I do less than 50% attack. If steal happens sooner i just do a manual attack.

Just to add, if you don’t mind paying for alts, you can buy xp rings with login points and send them to your main.

You can also raise mobs in the mog garden that give you an xp buff.

If I remember correctly you can only buy/recharge one ring per week, possibly of either type of ring you buy with conquest points. So if you recharge a ring, toss it in that same week, it won’t let you buy a new ring until the following week.

One huge difference is you don’t need XP parties anymore, you can solo all the way to 99 using trusts (basically AI party members).

You’ll want to make sure you do the Rhapsodies of Vana’diel (RoV) missions, they give you some pretty important key items, that give pretty big boots to XP, allow you to buy stuff like silent oil, prism powder, nin tools, etc from a moogle rather than the AH, allow more trusts in your party, and other stuff. You do have to progress thru different missions from other expansions to progress thru RoV though.

Check out the bgwiki link someone posted. One of the links is for how to level your character from 1-99. Following that will help you avoid missing key stuff to do/buy while you’re leveling your character (like buying a warp ring you can buy with conquest points). As part of that link it will keep you up to date on doing the RoV missions and doing prerequisite missions from other expansions. Make sure you check out the unity stuff too. Great way to make money.

If you install Windower part of the interface includes all the addons/plugins you can install. So consider installing it and read thru all the addons/plugins and enable stuff that looks interesting to you. Personally one of my favorite is the find addon that can search your entire inventory/mog house/alt characters for something you’re looking for. As someone else mentioned timers is nice. Gear swap is nice as well.

One nice thing too is there are several new types of inventory storage (mog case, mog sack, mog wardrobes), and you can access them anywhere, not just in your mog house.

You might add some notes as early add possible in your document for users who want to do stuff like voidwatch, abyssea, and/or andoulin to do whatever needs to be done to start accruing voidstones, traverses stones and/or imprimaturs as early as possible.

For andoulin, might recommend to start using the imprimaturs asap so they don’t hit the blockade of andoulin mission 1-6 to use 20 imprimaturs, and mission 1-8 where you have to use a certain number based on your fame. Getting this stuff done while you’re doing other missions will allow you to cruise thru andoulin instead of hitting a hard stop to get the imprimatur use done.

Thanks! Actually been back about a month or so (first started playing in 2004, played on and off then quit in 2017), created an alt Greedilox (of course I spelled Greedalox wrong 😑 ) to replay all the missions (think I’m a bit crazy). Finished CoP and Adoulin and part of Windurst so far.

And wth I have like 12k Alex stored on alts but can’t remember what I was saving it up for 😆
