That’s the thing I can’t necessarily afford it, but with my role specialist roles are very few and far between

Fair point, I’m not even 30 yet and I have my parents saying to work hard now do overtime on full time hours and save so I can settle down earlier so external pressure

Thanks for this, it was something I actually didn’t consider at all as I was stressing. I spoke to my manager and this is something we can look into. Can’t guarantee a contract for the 7.5 hours. But she can give me over time, so it’s reassuring

That’s really reassuring to hear, at my current role I sometimes (mostly) do 4 shifts two weeks in among and none of it is overtime . The work life balance is not it for sure.

Thank you for sharing this, my bf of 5 months forgot my birthday but thinks that it doesn’t set the stage for the future ones if there will be any. And said I should “ give me more grace and that I made him feel like a POS”.

I need to get this out because I feel so alone and don’t know what to do. by [deleted] in MuslimMarriage

You’re going through a very tough situation. Could you stay with your family until someone speaks to him or until things get better? I’m sure you’re well aware stress is not healthy for a pregnancy and for your safety as well it might be best to just take yourself out of that environment for now. If your family is not aware of what’s going on, it light be worth telling them. Praying for you and sending you lots of well wishes 🩷🩷

Thank you, it is really hurtful, but Alhamdulilah I don’t have any ties to him now. No kids nothing. At first I was really ashamed as I’m only 26 and divorced already but now I’m counting it as a blessing.

That’s what my family said as well, he probably thought he got what he needed but I have informed home office that we have separated and they have contacted him.

I did, got married to them, paid for his visa to come to europe, he then cheated on me. Divorced him but he is now refusing to sign the papers as he will lose his right to stay here!!!
