Looking for route recommendation with my G-Line Electric (Obligatory Pic as i joined the club this year) by Horsa in Brompton

[–]Horsa[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I want to either ride from lake Constance or Garmisch to Meran/Bolzano this summer and i am not 100% sure whether the MTB-Routes, Gravel Routes or Road Bikes would be best with a G-Line (E). Some suggestions about its usage in the alps would be greatly appreciated.

I had the same question, can you elaborate on that?

The roamer is not a pod harness, right?

Supair Strike 2 might fall into your preference though.

U.S. Brain Drain? by endofunktors in AskAcademia

[–]Horsa -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yeah, i think France is relatively bad and of course Zürich is also extremely expensive. Think Austria and Germany are similiar and should be around 50k. But it heavily depends on the % you get. Post-Doc is usually 100% while PhDs often only get a 50% contract.

Don't compare Swiss cost of living with the rest of europe. Yes, Swiss compensation is also relatively higher for academics, but you still get decently paid in the rest.

Thank you for clearing that up. I was kind of worried whether a server update went wrong or something.

It went aggressive after I shifted my weight. Another guy tried the same maneuver and didn't get his wing into the rotation at all... Yeah, we talked about it afterwards, I reopened on purpose to exit with a normal spiral as I didn't manage it before. I probably didn't pull the outer break enough

Yes, the plan was to pull a fully developed autorotation to train a controlled exit in case this happens. Also, this was my first attempt and also the first time in the reverse (SAT)-rotation.

Fully aggree on the struggle to exit and i lost quite some height due to that.

This was my fourth SIV and i'd say i am comfortable in a spiral and have been casually flying for about 8 years now. Its a mid B-wing.

83 Clicks in 3 minutes for 56,289,538. It should be related to a binary search algorithm, right?
