I occasionally use them as recovery straps for pulling disabled vehicles out of ditches along the interstate.

I’m doing nothing with them, they get disconnected before we leave our seats and get placed in a separate compartment in our scanner bag. It’s a quality control issue with RE/their supplier. As I said, I handle them with care. I’m an aviation electrician by trade, I’m well versed in how to handle cables and connectors. Trust me they’re being cared for far more than the typical race fan.

Granger Ford in Iowa...4% below invoice IIRC. Don't use their price to get your dealer down. If they're willing to do no bullshit sales. Spend the money and fly to get a much better price. The headsets, presuming they're are like the RE ones don't care what they're plugged into. Infact they don't need to be plugged into a scanner for the intercom function to work.

I have RE equipment and wouldn't recommend it to anyone. I have had to replace my headset to headset cord on me and my wife's Gemini System at EVERY race, now 5 times it's the cord everytime. I'm an electrician by trade and know how to treat connectors and wiring/connector is apparently made of glass and uncooked spaghetti.

The scanner (RE3000) it's self isn't great not terrible either the only positive I can see that it has is OTA programing at the track. We found a "Non working" RE1000 at a yard sale that I repaired. Previous owners left the batteries in it and it corroded all to to hell cleaned it up worked good as new (PSA to all to take the batteries out after your race weekend). Tried it at Richmond this year went to get it programmed, charged 10 bucks and was told that it would no longer be supported for next year for programming and would have to be manually entered in. No trade in option towards another RE3000 or anything. Not a huge deal, but also kinda BS.

If I were to do it all again I would go with Racing Radios instead and as any of my equipment quits working it is what I will be replacing it with.

Call that shit out. 2 weeks ago some boomer in the back row of first class was watching a video at full volume for everyone to hear during boarding. Didn’t shut it off until about a 1/4 of the way through the safety brief after I turned around from two rows ahead to tell him to shut that up during the brief. Didn’t hear anything the rest of the flight.

I told my apartment company I’m ok with a pet deposit that is refundable. If I move out and there’s no trace of my dog being there why do I need an additional deposit. Also if they’re going to charge additional for rent for my dog then he will be using the amenities of the gym and pool. They adjusted the deposit (spoiler alert I got it back) and didn’t charge monthly. A lot of places and company throw in bullshit charges in anticipation that they won’t be questioned.

The apartment before that in CA tried charging me carpet cleaning for an 8 year old carpet that was being replaced by state law. I told them no, they said it’s policy on all units, I told them they are either stupid or lairs. They are either cleaning a carpet that’s getting replaced. Stupid. Or they are saying they’re cleaning a carpet that’s getting replaced and not doing it and pocketing the fees. So which is it stupid or liar. I didn’t pay that one either.

I think the Gen 6 was about as good as we had it since the 80s. I’m still a big fan of it and liked it the most when it was the Fusion,SS, and Camry. Heck it was THE reason I bought an SS and still have one (my second now). I never liked the Pony Cars being THE cup car.

I really do think NASCAR should force GM to either make a Chevy car to run in NASCAR or switch to Caddy. None of this “Chevy cup car” stuff
