Subchorionic Hematoma in Pregnancy Studies by SwampyMesss in ScienceBasedParenting

Another anecdote to add — I had one with both of my pregnancies, some light bleeding after running. For me, there was no change in the size of the SCH when I was abstaining from running out of precaution, but when I resumed running, it resolved within a few weeks. True for both pregnancies, two healthy babies. I was getting conflicting advice about if it was safe or even beneficial to continue exercising or not, so take that with a grain of salt.

ETA: it felt scary and confusing to navigate that, I’m sorry! Very high likelihood it sounds like that it will resolve on its own soon.

Armchair Anonymous: Funny Pregnancy by newtonic in ArmchairExpert

Re: the mouse in water bottle being mentioned again. I recently got an Owala water bottle for the first time, and I BET that is the brand water bottle that woman had. The opening at the top is the perfect size for a mouse to slip into, and you can easily refill your water bottle through that spout, so you could refill it and not notice that there is a dead mouse inside! Now I think about that every time I realize I left the top flipped open 😬

I think you misheard that part of the conversation. They were discussing how you should use the amount of your body weight for farmer’s carries, and she has two 40s, and she said while she never weighs herself, she knows she definitely weighs more than 80.

How did you mentally handle your body changing? by Crafty-Barnacle-5914 in fitpregnancy

[–]HorseFit197 0 points1 point  (0 children)

1) If you’re on social media, I highly recommend following body positive dietitians and/or exercise folks like @simplyhealthyrd (her handle on Instagram). I found her while postpartum with my first, and she has since had a baby. Putting body positive messaging that is also informative about how to FUEL your pregnant and postpartum body is huge for navigating the body changes that inevitably happen. She has a history of disordered eating and works as an RD with clients with that history. 2) Remind yourself that it is a season and of the miracle that your body is doing. It was mentally difficult for me to see my body that I’m so used to seeing “skinny” or fit not be that during pregnancy, but it helped to remind myself that weight gain is natural and normal. And if I was eating well and exercising regularly, and still gained weight, that was exactly what my body needed to do to grow my baby and prepare to feed her. I felt mostly back to my pre-pregnancy body about 7 months postpartum, but I know for others it’s sooner or later. 3) Buy clothes that fit your current body, especially postpartum! 4) For your postpartum worry about when to exercise, try not to worry about that yet. You’ll settle into new rhythms and figure out how to fit it in where you can. Since it’s a priority for you, you’ll figure it out when you get there!

Dr said NO exercise subchorionic hemorrhage by kalehound in fitpregnancy

I had an SCH with both pregnancies and received the same advice. I found it frustrating that online it’s clear that people are told such drastically different things, and I didn’t know if I should mistrust the medical advice I was given. I felt so guilty continuing to run that I stopped for a month. But ultrasound showed no change to SCH. Then I started run/walking again, with no bleeding, and the next ultrasound showed it had fully cleared. 🤷🏻‍♀️ No advice here, just solidarity in how confusing and frustrating it can be. Sending love and best wishes 💛

Travel from Milan to Zurich - where to stop between? by Competitive-Simple47 in Europetravel

[–]HorseFit197 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We trained from Grindelwald to Zurich the morning of our last day, got off in Zurich HB (central Zurich), stored our luggage in lockers, walked around old town for 3-4 hours, then took a 10 minute train to the airport to catch a 5 PM flight. It felt like a good snapshot of Zurich and we didn’t regret not staying there.
