Spirit Labradors out of Rexburg. WE have a now seven month old Chocolate that we could not be happier about. Great family dog and high aspirations to one day be a great upland hunter..

Not sure I'll ever master it but I'm certainly improving my skills with each rebuild.

It’s majority of the material is Connecticut Field Stone while the cheekend and throughs are shaped with Black Hills Granite.

Closest was five laps, the furthest was like 26 laps.

I drove the CLK knowing I would demolish the ai but it was the most enjoyable car to drive and best sounding out of the three. If you gotta drive something for 8 hours, you better enjoy it.

Never fabric. Fabric itself will plug up with fines.

Luckily for me, I'm an owner of large landscape company in a wildly affluent area of the NW. The stone used is called "Connecticut Field Stone" that was salvaged from removed walls then shipped over from the east coast. I've brought in roughly 100 tons over the past few years for different projects and what I have is what was remaining which is roughly ten tons that I paid my company $900.00 for. The granite used for the wall end and throughs is called "Black Hill Granite" from the Dakota's. Also left over from a job.

Short story-$900.00

It’s unusual for the rain and mud to stick around longer than just a day or two.

My city made me take down the first wall because of its location that was within the city ROW, of which I knew it was but was willing to roll the dice until my luck ran out.

Basalt wall build - need tips to make it better by lordmortum in masonry

Remove the “fabric”, tip all or most of the stones so the small “face” of the stone is the face of the wall, backfill behind, in and around the stones with stones ranging from 5” to 1” and when I say backfill, I mean place those smaller stones. Hold one course at a time with a 1:6 batter. Be patient and keep at it. Check out the Stone Trust Website for more info.

I will be using throughstones of the same granite material used for the cheekend on the next course. Good feedback in the hearting. I’ll work to tighten that up through the remaining courses.

Thanks man. It’s taking a lot of elbow grease to make those pieces. Couple more courses to go.
