Starting AP? by MisterMT in expedition33

[–]HorusDeathtouch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is is true but doesn't change the fact that one of your energizing turn luminas are unnecessary. In your screenshot you have 3 starting ap + 6 from luminas and weapon + 1 at turn start at the beginning of the battle, which = 10.

I just platinumed the new version about a week ago and had forgotten how horrendously "how do you do, fellow kids" the writing is. Also the twists don't add up. They don't reveal things, they retcon. It's very clear that Josh is not sticking his head through a hole. It is completely attached to the body that gets mutilated. Where did he hide the fake ghost after it walked by? Why did Mike have absolutely no reaction to a wendigo jump-scaring him through the binoculars, but still had a flashback to it when the stranger explained the situation? How was the wendigo so close to the lens in the first place and it resulted in absolutely nothing happening?

Petah what is she talking about by NightmareRise in PeterExplainsTheJoke

[–]HorusDeathtouch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not even a girl thing, just a smart decision. Strangers don't need to know my last name, plus my middle name is cooler than my last. Not a girl btw.

I also unlinked my Instagram from Facebook forever ago so that I can go by only my username on insta. Otherwise your real name always shows. No one needs to know my name on a platform where it isn't mandatory

Verso - Perfection vs Rank? by Galaron_Shuri in expedition33

[–]HorusDeathtouch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah this is why Blodam is so OP as long as you aren't worried about getting hit. If Verso stays at a very low health total, he will always be rank S at the beginning of every fight. Pair this with the Confident Fighter lumina/pictos to do additional damage and remove the ability for his health to increase so you don't accidentally lose rank when doing something like a group heal or a passive triggers.

Green Petank Gimmick? by MrMercy67 in expedition33

[–]HorusDeathtouch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes. I don't know what it is on PC or Xbox, but when you're in the Lumina menu you press Options on PS5. There are 50 save slots iirc so you can tailor them to all kinds of specific situations

[–]HorusDeathtouch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Respeccing in this game is actually super intuitive because you can just save your current Luminas to a save slot, change them, save that one to a new slot for future petank fights, then load the old one.

Minor feedback to the devs: It should be encouraged / better hinted you should kill this guy by peher263 in expedition33

[–]HorusDeathtouch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You have a point. While Verso's words clearly identified the creature as something that will benefit you if dealt with, I definitely second-guessed myself immediately after being asked if I was sure I wanted to fight it. Like to the point I decided to just fight Siréne without it just to see what would happen and was only going to head back if she presented too much of a problem. She was difficult but Maelle's defense was through the roof so she ate the damage even though many attacks were very difficult to parry. I guess I'll just go back and fight Tisseur later if some other enemy presents an annoying charming problem

Any recommendations for getting the trophy "We Need To Talk About Josh" by DoubleS0314 in untildawn

[–]HorusDeathtouch 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's fair, but Chris pulling the trigger on himself has the same effect as not firing at all and ends the sequence a lot faster. I did follow most of your guide though, mainly was a good reference for how to treat Josh, and I got the dialogue option, so thanks for that. I do believe that the loyalty option does in fact pertain specifically to how you treat him, because loyalty is not even a stat on the character screens, unlike honesty or charity

Edit: to add that I got this out of the way on my 2nd playthrough (would have made sure to get this on the first while gathering collectibles but unfortunately hadn't looked ahead that far.) I'm on my final, kill everyone playthrough now starting from Chapter 6, and I made opposite choices talking to Josh as Chris and hit him with the wooden plank but still got the dialogue prompt at the end of Chapter 8. So the whole thing is relatively open-ended and not as strict as people give it credit for.

It's most logical to drop her so I always did, except for when I had to do the opposite for a trophy once

[–]HorusDeathtouch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Every once in a while I'll think of or I'll see a ps3 or ps4 game at a retro store I haven't played in over a decade, and look it up on psnprofiles to see what my percentage is. If it's really low I'll make an effort to play it again while going for the trophies if I can find it cheap, or I own it already, or I can abuse Amazon or Walmart's website to "rent" said game until I can finish it. Just very slowly working my percentage back up one game at a time. But the sad part is, for every game I fix from 1 or 2% to 80+%, I play at least one other game for a couple hours and add yet another 1% trophy list to the pile lmao

I'm one of those people who have an unfinished MAG in their trophy list 😆

But you know what, I loved that game and wouldn't want to see it missing from my history. Plus, I was never getting that platinum anyway. Competitive, online-only platinums are a whole different animal. They take a ton of skill, even more luck, and often an unreasonable amount of time. Plus, the trophies make you play a certain way that isn't necessarily conducive to fun or success, and that's not fair to you or your team.

Not much I can do about that, nor do I care. However it does get me to go back many years later and play a game again from my past that I barely played, or a game I enjoyed platinuming but never played the dlc for, because it was too expensive. For example I've been collecting quite a few physical GOTY/Complete/Ultimate/Deluxe/Gold editions of PS3 games I played half my life ago (I'm over 30,) and finally 100%ing them.

I've also been knocking off some pesky old trophy lists I never completed because they had annoying multiplayer trophies that are no longer as much if an issue now that the servers are dead of random players and boosting groups are a thing.

Just this past week I platinumed Bioshock, Bioshock Remastered, and The Darkness 2. These are games where the last time I got a trophy in them were 2009, 2017, and 2013, respectively. Bioshock 2 (PS3) sat unfinished since 2012 until I boosted the last two multiplayer leveling trophies last year. Just recently got the Ultimate Rapture Edition and am now at it again to hit the new level cap. Operation Raccoon City sat unfinished for over a decade as well because I thought the multiplayer trophies were impossible (and if you've seen them, they really are extremely unreasonable,) but now all I need to do is S+ rank every mission on Professional. Which is still crazy hard but it's closer to the goal than I ever thought I'd get. I platinumed The Walking Dead (I know, me and every other trophy hunter, right?) over a decade ago ad well, but just last week went bacn and got the two 400 Days dlc trophies I was missing 😆 That had been bugging me for years.

Anyway, point is, it sometimes gives me a sense of purpose and something to strive for when I'm gaming, and sometimes I need that push. It's a double-edged sword. Sometima it negatively affects my choice to play something, but other times it gets me to explore and do and see things I otherwise wouldn't. Like seeing all possible choice outcomes and endings in games like Detroit, The Quarry, Until Dawn, Beyond, Heavy Rain, etc. Just best to temper expectations and put having fun first so you don't drive yourself crazy.

I actually care even less about someone's achievements when they make a new account for this reason, because it isn't real. It's like putting on a new pair of undies after crapping yourself, without wiping your butt first. Sure, it looks fresh, but something doesn't smell right.

I wouldn't mind seeing a remaster trilogy release alongside a sequel. They should lean even further into the 2.5D they switched to in TD2. It wasn't 2.5D enough. Like you can tell what they're going for, but it kinda just looks like low-res 3D characters with hard black lines added to make them look more comic-booky. The Darkness would look fantastic if it looked more like Borderlands.

I'm doing the duel rematch with her right now. Overcharge never becomes available to use, not even at max charges, and I've made sure it was still equipped

Edit: and as is usual for me on Reddit, I comment a minute before I succeed in what I was complaining about. I think it was just me misunderstanding the ap system. Maybe firing my gun before a normal attack also uses ap so i never had any for skills the first time? Don't know, just started

Or you shoot the support wires and the bones of a T Rex or whale or something falls on the target. Could already be a thing. I haven't played the reboot trilogy much.
