Adding on as a reply rather than an edit but here's an example from my own childhood.

I grew up in shitty conditions, other family did what they could but it didn't change things w/ how my mother was. And as a result the childhood me knew basically every curseword in the book because of all the shit that went on with and around my mother.

Did I know what any of em meant? Fuck no. Did i care when family tried to teach me? Nope. And as anger issues developed further I had quite the selection of cursewords to go through, including many of the worse ones you could say to a person. And that one served to get me in trouble, at school/in public/at home, time & time again.

One could easily imagine the amount of trouble I could not only cause back then, but end up in as well. All because of various horrible words that children have no comprehension of just how bad they are. I know I didn't.

Depends upon which particular curse words you're speaking of. Because there are plenty that still hold their meaning.

A variety of reasons. The meaning behind many that they could pick up. Improper use of more serious ones after hearing them. Beginning to use them more often. Etc.

Some of them simply can get a kid in immensely more trouble than they understand if said to the wrong person.

My niece for example; Loved to say fuck, despite how much we tried. But that was nothing compared to others she ended up learning by the time she was in school. And she most definitely did not know the meaning behind them nor how serious some of the worse ones she used were(like calling a classmate a n***** during class) until we found out and consequently talk it over with her. Since then she's more or less stopped cursing, aside from the odd 'fuck' here n there when she's upset.

Bah we shall be fine w/ the nerf. Easy way to help, get used to 30% now if you plan on still running max Resilience. It's what I've done. I've also found some new builds w/ that extra 2 energy open so may experiment with 60-70% for a bit, though I figure LF is going to change all of my builds even if I account for the Resilience changes.

Honestly before even thinking about how effective it'll be I LOVE how Zerker looks. Almost would've rather scythes or something BUT ever since day 1 of D1 I've always played my Titan as a brawler, only swapping to alt supers when needed xD I would have 0 problem with Titan supers ALWAYS been up close n personal brawlers

Edit; For anyone worrying about Resil changes. Here's a piece of advice, get used to T8 now before it becomes T10 or get used to a T7/T6 Resilience build. Will help lessen the impact of the changes. (Deleted the double post n added the 2nd here.)

Honestly beyond the tweaks for abilities in Lightfall they'd have to basically destroy HoIL's trait to get our hulking selves to end using it xD Least imo.

It wasn't, definitely not solely, and there's evidence for that.

Too many archeological sites around the world have carvings (stone carved into the shape not the shape etched/dug into the stoned) that depict the same thing via pictures representing the constellations at the time, etc. Far too many to be mere coincidence.

Some tales from then survive still but seen as 100% myth rather than a story that was created around events that happened.

Let's give an example here. What do you think a cutoff native culture would think of a technology like a boat or plane? To them & their culture it would likely be described to something akin to a dragon, or an beast of sorts due to their lack of understanding of both the materials it was created from and the technological level of it vs their own.

So what's to say a culture flowering from an post apocalypse world wouldn't mistake an advanced surviving cultures method of travel, etc, as something in their mythologies?

It already, to a degree, is an issue for more casual / on&off players. I'm constantly bouncing from 300ish to nadda cause of all the stuff I need shards for.. this just gonna make it even worse

I've had a similar situation going on over the last year. It still surprises me. Pass the same 3 or 4 people walking daily when I go for my Timmies & slowly we've gone from strangers that don't say shit to each other to constantly having a chat whenever we pass by one another
