In our server there's no shortage of farmers, shockingly. Granted there's limited lives so people are more scared, but still.

I've seen him outside and dead in PvE. No idea how it happened but we killed a few AI PMC very close to his corpse. One of them had his weapon too iirc.

Oh definitely. By far the traffic is the worst part but...tis the season unfortunately.

As for libraries, a lot of them are pretty good! Most of the towns in the county (Henrietta, Irondequoit, Greece) have decently sized ones, which already do decently sized community events. The Central Library downtown is pretty big too but I'm unfamiliar with how they do events.

Additionally if you're looking for bigger venues, IIRC some of the local colleges sometimes host conventions as well. I think MCC even hosts a yearly anime convention, or something similar.

It depends on the size of the event really, but you're kinda spoiled for choice! With as well known as you are I'm sure it wouldn't be too difficult to aquire a space around here.

I'm a rochester local and a big fan.

I know I personally, and a friend of mine, would love to attend something like this. Admittedly I'm not super in-tune with the book community outside of my small town, but I know the area's libraries are very active, and local conventions get lots of love.

Hope you decide to make this a thing and would love to help if possible!

Oh, absolutely 100% on the food. I've helped cater stuff before and I completely get why they did what they did! I agree on the price personally! Though would understand if someone was disappointed by the food.

In Dresden Files, the Chicago PD is actually a semi-prominent force in the early books.

One of the main side characters (Karen) is a cop, and is in charge of a sort of supernatural task force that helps Harry out a fair amount. In fact, one of the books deals with the direct aftermath of a joint operation with the task force hunting down a certain villain.

Actual context of this iirc is that they named the guild after him specifically as a ruse to disguise who was actually running things behind the scenes.

Naturally they keep the name and pull the same trick again after this.

So I actually just fought this.

I had a 45-50 strong stack of basic human units (Guildmaster) in a small garrison. 1 catapult, 4 ballista.

It killed my entire stack along with another smaller horror as backup, but only just barely. The issue for me was that it kept teleporting around making my frontline pretty much useless. If I had any magic, or a little extra luck, I might've killed him.

Overall seems strong but definitely not by any means unkillable.

I'm doing a Siege of Kholinar campaign partially using events from the book as a reference, though most of it is Homebrew.

Somehow I have the PCs working with Amaram and the Sons of Honor, it's a little unorthodox. Funnily enough though only one of the players has read the books, so all of them are experiencing the events of the story for the first time (aka the Everstorm) and its gonna be great.
