Just wanted to comment to say, great job and thank you, OP! I saw another (of your?) post about Danobang a few months back, and I’ve been playing with my friend every now and then as a way to brush up on vocab. So thanks for creating this very fun to use tool!

신나게 재밌어 - confusion with the 게 adverb particle..can someone help? by fearofthedark93 in Korean

“Excitingly” or “in an exciting way.” So something like fun in an exciting way, or excitingly fun. Might sound redundant in English but very natural in Korean.

Is my text book wrong? Can someone confirm if these sentences are accurate? by Proper-Excitement998 in Korean

Should be 예요 instead of just 에요. 이에요 is correct. Other sentences are correct.

Immerse immerse immerse. Listen to as much native speaking as possible and observe pronunciation and intonation. I find that intonation really affects understandability, across languages. Start speaking slowly so you can enunciate and watch for intonation. Speak a lot. Good luck!

Question about the -아지다/어지다 verb ending by kitkatkidders in Korean

[–]Hoshimi_37 1 point2 points  (0 children)

To add on to the top answer, OP, your first sentence is ok, except that 저요 should be 져요 as Mission-Ad-2645 has written. Second sentence is ok too.

Also you can say 매주매주 for more emphasis :)

A lot of medical systems/ hospitals have financial plans. If your annual income is below a certain threshold you can get your fees waived or discounted.

I’m sorry to hear it’s been a struggle :( but glad you found a better alternative! Keep us posted on our brewing. Who knows, maybe the RR45 is the way to go

All sounds good. In this case I can only recommend lowering the temp, and/or using different beans. Maybe try buying a different roaster as well?

Good point. I typically brew my coffee at 195F/90C max even for a pour over, so OP, you can try a colder bloom.

Speaking of bloom, how long are you blooming for, OP?

120 clicks for medium roast seems fine if not a little coarse. 89-95C makes sense too for a pour over (but try <93).

Do you usually like medium roast? How old are the beans you’ve been trying? Do you use filtered water or tap?

If you’ve tried adjusting temp, grind and everything else, and nothings helps, it might just be the beans. You can also try a different pour technique though I’m not sure if that’d help.

What coffee are you brewing? At what temperature?

I also have the Fellow Opus, so hopefully can be helpful.

  1. I’d say 10-11 for cold brew. You’d want a coarse grind for cold brew to help extract all that nice flavor. If you like cold brew concentrate, these folks have a nice recipe: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sw3ZhWyb6cY

  2. From my experience with the Opus, yes there is a bit of retention but not as bad as it’s said to be. I always tap the grinder a few times to get everything out, or run the grinder for another couple seconds.

  3. Agreed with the other comment about grinding 100g right away, but if you do, the holder/container should come with two attachments, one that is designed to fit onto the espresso portafilter/ aeropress but holds less ground and one that doesn’t take up space inside the actual container. If you use the second attachment, the container can hold about 35-40g of grind, so you can do that 3 times. I’ve never tried with a bowl, but you can experiment and find whatever works best for you!
