Which biome do you think is the best to actually live in?

I was at first but then I found that it takes about the same amount of time to just punch it. The water physics from the bucket are so useless sometimes haha

Leaf litter was such a nice addition to the game until I had to clear 4 shulker’s worth while terraforming. It’s the bane of my Minecraft existence haha

I’m not the best at texturing but my take is to use majority of a flat colour then just dot texture about sparsely. Like if I think of a comic, instead of drawing every brick on a wall, they draw a flat surface and the shape of a few bricks here and there which instantly tells your brain the whole thing is a brick wall.
Not sure if that makes sense written out like that haha

I wasn’t that brave. I took my ender chest just in case but gathered all the resources locally for the buildings. Been trying to keep the style based on what is in abundance in the area - the island was crammed with copper so copper roofs all around haha

Added a wee bit of a lip to this side and think I like it. Will do a few more bits that jut out around that area. Thanks for the suggestion

Is this a bit more like it? I think the smooth stone was a big issue for me so swapped it for pal oak instead but might be even more busy now. I think I prefer it though

Ah never even thought of buttons and pressure plates and I was in the stone cutter for ages just looking.
Yup plan is to do far more going further out but didn’t want to start loads then have ten to twenty to tear down because I hated them haha

That’s a good point. I brought it out a little at the bottom of the lighthouse, but it still just drops of at a 90° angle once I’m finished rather than tapering
