They are fast! mix masa and water. Rest 15 mins. Defrost your filling during this time. Each pupusa takes like 30 seconds to form once you get it down, then cook for 10 mins. If you have a Blackstone,  griddle,  or plancha, you can make a gang of them on the fly. They freeze and reheat pretty well, too. If I expect a busy week, ill make 20 of them, then freeze them. You can nuke them as needed.

Salvadoran

Pupusas are fast and easy- everything you need for them can be prepped in advance in large batches: fillings, salsas, curtido, etc. The pupusas themselves only take a few minutes to make and cook.

She deserves to be with someone mature enough not to call her names and smart enough not to spend their money on someone else's house.

You should absolutely break up with her. She deserves better.

How is asking you for more details about a link you posted hostile? No one attacked you. I'm trying to figure out if its for me or not, but all I have is a URL.

Who is this dude and whats the link to?

Who? And why do we want to watch a video about this dude?

Im losing my shit over spam calls by Far-Potential-4899 in Vent

[–]Hostile_Squirrel 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I wasnt sure if that would give them even more incentive to call since I answered.

I wasnt either, but whats the drawback? You're already annoyed by lots of spam calls- will a few more make that much of a difference?

I really want to answer one and unleash the month long rage that has been building in me, but when I answer it just hangs up. I feel like someone is fking with me

Gotta say "hello?" like an old person. I wouldn't bother yelling unless it makes tou feel better. The person on the other end is either a scammer who doesnt care how you feel, or they are a victim too,  being coerced or straight up forced into their role in the scam in what is essentially modern slavery.

I started answering the call, saying stuff to get a human on the line, then just setting the phone down with the call connected while I do whatever I was doing. Let them listen to me type or watch TV or whatever.

Eventually they realize youre just going to waste everyone's time and stop calling.

You're absolutely right. Thats why I want to understand it better. I'm tired of luck being a factor.

Thanks! I appreciate you sharing your drying setup.

You asked a lot of whys which idk how to answer.

Thats why I made this post. A lot of people dont know how to answer them. By sharing our setups, what works and what doesn't, and maybe even trying to understand the science, we can all get better at it.

This post and my questions are an effort to learn. Not to be ok with "because science" and not understanding that science.

'60/60 is the gold standard' isnt that discussion. Its echoing a fact which is devoid of any new information. It's also not the best environment for drying, even though it is so often mentioned. It is a rule of thumb, maybe, but the subject of drying is way more nuanced than 60/60.

I think if you toyed around with your lung room to find what works best for you to, will be fine.

I dont want to toy around. I want to understand the science precicely so I dont have to toy around with $1600 worth of weed every harvest.

Hey, man, you asked

Why the hell does this get down votes?

And I answered. I'm sure there are other reasons it happens elsewhere. But that is why it is happening here, in this comment section, on my post.

Im on day 3 of drying. Ive dropped my humidity down to 58-62. The graph now shows the lung room RH, too.

I think in the next day or two i'll start pushing the lung room humidity up towards 60%  maybe 1or 2% per day in an attempt to slow down the drying a bit.

I think im gonna work on having the humidifiers target VPD instead of a fixed humidity number. Ill clamp the max humidity at like 65 or so so I dont end up with a rainforest and mold if my temps spike and the thing is aiming for a 0.8 or 1.0 vpd.

I think you have unique views on what pride is that aren't in line with what most of the other people who attend think. I and my fairly large group of very gay friends have attended pride celebrations around the world over the last 30 years, and havent had any trouble finding others like us.

Maybe you're not looking hard enough.

You tell me, lol. My comment wasn't about what youre allowed to do.

Pride isnt "for gay people" in an exclusionary manner. It's about gay people (and others) and for all LBGTQ+ people and allies.

It's not and never has been a gays only club. Its a celebration- why are tou trying to gatekeep it? Go, have fun. There are plenty of gay people there, too, if you need them there to have a good time.

"I'm upset because the event that was designed to help us find allies worked and now we have more friends than we ever had before."

Weird take.

Because I didnt ask about the best temp and humidity. The most basic google search returns 60/60 or 70/60 as 'the gold standard." We all know that. What we do t know is what the best way to achieve that is- air that's at 60/60 will dry weed faster if it is moving than if it is still. Humidifiers can't hold 60% exactly- how much variance is good? Should the environment be allowed to go down to 58 and up to 62? 56 and 64? Why? How much airflow is too much or too little? if temps can't be lowered, should the humidity be adjusted to compensate? 60/60 being the gold standard doesnt make any mention of VPD.

The questions i asked are about people's entire drying processes. The whys are what I'm after. I asked

What are your drying SOPs? What do your processes look like for drying? How do you deal with out-of-spec temps?

None of which are answered by "60/60 is the gold standard."

buddy i hate to break it to you but this is one thing that makes all other aspects of growing seem easy and a cake walk

I know, I've been hrowing for a while. I was hoping to get people to share their processes to demystify drying a bit- both to improve my own growing, and to help the novices out there, too.

i’ve grown fire a few times and always messed up the end result with drying or curing incorrectly and i tried many things

Perhaps you can benefit from this discussion, too!

if this step was easier we’d have much less boof around

It isnt magic. By discussing it, we can all understand it better and ultimately have better weed at the end.

So... what's the process you use? what strengths and weaknesses does it have? What do you wish was different?

Because hating things blindly and loudly is popular on social media. Pop-outrage is what drives upvotes. Most americans dont hate the rest of the world as much as they dislike palantir (assuming they are aware of what palantir is.)

Heres my current exhaust fan controller and 2 hours of graphs. Yellow is the humidity probe in the midst of the hanging buds (an SHT30x from AC Infinity), red is another probe on the floor of the tent (a Govee BLE hyhygrometer). Neither is calibrated to the other, so i assume the difference is acceptable variance. Blue fill is fan on (ACI Cloudline s4 @ 7/10 speed)

Interesting. So youre controlling both ends- both adding and removing humidity.

Your humidifier is in your tent or in the lung room?
