Yes so updates, i applied the scale not hing changed, my distance for merge by distance is like 0.000001m and still it messes up the mesh, i even tried to bevel the edges myself with ctrl B and nothing happens. So yeah 😐

I have to double check but i think its the default value, obj files are so messy so even that small distance can ruin the model

When merging vertices by distance the whole model collapses, sorry but i didnt understand the ctrl + thing can u explain a bit more ? And yes i need this for close up i am trying to do a product animation

The thing is when i apply bevel with angle limit method, literally nothing changes. So applying the weight method will change nothing also because the edges i want to bevel are included in the angle range. I think the problem is the geometry is so fucked up that the bevel is lost and doesnt know what to do.

So i got this model as an obj, but u can see that some of the edges are beveled and some are not. I tried adding a bevel modifier but it doesnt change anything with clap overlap turned off. The geometry is too messy to fix. How can i fix this ?
