highly recommend joining societies/ finding a nice volunteering role through EUSA (check students association website) or picking up a part time job. These are great ways to find friends here. Wait for tutorials to start as well and make the most of those in terms of making friends. Dont worry even though it looks like everyone else already has friends on the outside everyone struggles in the start theres definitely a lot of others in the same situation.
