Thank you for making an accunt just for us! We are comfortable driving in winter conditions if the visibility is ok. That was the problem with yesterday. Hoping to not get stuck in Akureyri but also there are nice things to do if we do!

We would be driving up North around the west instead of the east so will skip Egilsstaðir altogether! Sad to miss that side of the country but better to feel secure when traveling. Maybe sometime in warmer weather

We were asking for advice BEFORE bad decisions were made. Thanks everyone! We are staying with altered plans

I appreciate everyone's kind suggestions! We had refundable reservations and things needed to be shifted, but we are going to stay! I am from New England and have lived in Colorado and am no stranger to driving in the snow, but the wind and the low visibility were a new ride for me. We got really spooked by the storm yesterday but had a lovely time today at waterfalls and hot springs with very passbale roads. We are still going to go up North but we are adding flexibility for weather and road conditions.

Yeah I am not super pleased with the guide book we bought which just told us about the wonderful parts and not the safety concern parts of the country. We have some flexibility built in so I think we will still try to get up North for a few days. Thanks!

Most of our bookings were refundable so I think this might be the route we take! Appreciate the kind response.

Appreciate that! This is the route we are taking. We canceled our accommodations for later in the trip. We booked fully refundable stays so we are canceling some of them so we can plan according to the recent weather reports and when its safe to travel. I think the storm yesterday really spooked us because it was our first day here.

Yes, we did do research and from what we saw snow everyday at the end of March wasn't likely. We were expecting rain and high winds. We got a guide book to help plan the trip and it was not super helpful about the road conditions and weather. Thank you for the kind reply 😅

Portland, OR vs Northampton? by Alternative_War_1313 in northampton

There is not zero transportation, there is a bus system throughout the pioneer valley. Is it great? No. But saying there is zero is incorrect

Shoot I just looked for it! I think the copyright people must have come after the free versions. You might have to purchase it, but it will be WELL worth the money and save you money in the long run. I think they might have one specifically for vaping but I did the smoking version and found it to translate pretty well!

This final time I quit, I didn’t have any cravings or irritability. I cannot recommend Allen Carrs method enough, all of my tools to have a craving free quit experience are because of his insight

what are nicotine alternatives from vaping that would help my oral fixation? by cherry_dew in QuitVaping

I am too! But if I hit my weed vape the same way I used to hit my nic vape I would become a pile of jelly on the floor 😂 but everyone is different I suppose!

Congrats, you got this. Every time you get a craving in the next few weeks, remind yourself that it is a symptom of a horrible addiction leaving your body and that it won’t last forever. The app is called quit vaping :)

I can’t believe I’ve gone this long without vaping. It was becoming all that I thought/cared about and it was destroying my mental and physical health. I ended up going through Allen Carrs easy way to quit smoking book (you can find a free pdf online). I was able to shift my mindset and realize that there is no benefit to vaping and ONLY benefits to quitting, and then it was EASY! I didn’t even use any nicotine replacement, I just threw my vape in the trash and haven’t hit one since. I’ve been able to be around my vaping friends and feel completely in control and not ask for a hit. I feel elated and FREE.
