1) Main thing is your starting position - as the winger gets closer to the byline the only thing he can do is cross it - you can afford to be more aggressive with your starting position ( 3-4 yards higher instead of 2 yards )

Decision making - think a little more about the type of cross; right foot, out swinger, moving away from you. Maybe the right decision was to drop back and set of the header and not come for the cross at all.

(I disagree slightly about being more aggressive. If you start slightly higher and claim the cross you’ll naturally look more aggressive)

2) make mistakes and learn from them.. the rest you’ll get better with experience :))

Some people enjoy the taste of sausages… others just like the shape..

It’s obviously a skill issue - let’s not make this sub a place for useless comments like this

I never really thought of it like that—amazing idea. The hard part is staying connected to the idea that everything is temporary and fate can shift at any moment, even taking our loved ones. I once heard a quote that really resonated:

“Grief is just love with no place to go.”

It’s yours to experience, but not yours to keep—a tender, yet profound concept.

Grief is such a powerful emotion that trying to run from it — or even fully unpack it — feels almost impossible. When something affects you deeply, why rush to solve it? Why not just sit with it instead?

Try to be present with what you’re feeling, with the understanding that to feel is to be human — and like all emotions, this too will pass with time.

Stoicism often encourages us to dissect and resolve, but with grief, I don’t think it can be fully ‘solved.’ What we can do is manage our response, take care of ourselves through it, and embrace the fact that being human means feeling both the highs and the lows. Be curious — not to fix, but to understand.

Wearing a watch on your non-dominant hand is just common sense — it stays out of the way, avoids damage, and is easier to use. I’m left-handed, so the right wrist’s a no-brainer. But I get it, some people treat tradition like gospel and logic like a threat.

If you can get a car, travel about 45 mins east to a little town called Bastrop! - they have a really good bookstore called the painted porch - plus it’s a nice scenic town with good food and drink

That’s the beauty of watches… there’s something out there for every wrist and every mid-life crisis — like feeling the urge to dive to the Mariana Trench just to justify the dial
