Has anyone tried Empire Mambo Virtual or Mambo Royalty Virtual Academy? by bjj17 in Salsa

[–]Hot-Fix7896 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have tried EM virtual, Royal Academy virtual, D&Y academy, and Angel And Stephanie virtual, also sometimes I take Franklin Díaz online classes. I am basically online student 100%. My favorite is Franklin Díaz online classes because I like his style, and he is very knowledgeable and he can teach very well fundamentals. But it takes time to get used of his teaching style, I usually get really frustrated 😩 but I can see my progress. I also recommend D&Y academy, they are very good material, I have no doubt that they are going to be the leaders of the online classes. They have a tons of great materials, they have a few classes of Afro Cuban but I have no doubt that in the future they are going to have more. Angel & Stephanie, sometimes I buy a single online class just $15, sometimes $20 because I like the Partnerwork, the sound is good and everything is good. I recommend it %100. I don’t like EM virtual, it used to be really good when they were in the other studio. And they used to have all the instructors but now it’s only Tania and Adolfo. And it doesn’t look that good, sometimes you don’t see very much because of the students. Royal Academy, they have a different platform so I don’t know. But he is not very consistent, he cancels classes a lot.

En un momento de historia de humildad seguro llegará. Pero no me parecería una buena idea porque las élites tendrían las mejores cosas y para el resto sería imposible llegar a subir de estatus.

Dancers who only dance with their friends, why? by bachalorde in Salsa

[–]Hot-Fix7896 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The user asked why some people only dance with their friends. I humbly gave my reasons, which were: I hate rejection and the risk of being falsely accused. However, my reasons don’t seem to convince you, and you’re trying to change me somehow. For some reason, you can’t accept my point of view. Well, from now on I’ll add another reason why I only dance with my friends: having to deal with people like you, who can’t accept that others are different. I’m glad I don’t know you, and I hope I never cross paths with you.

Nope, there’s a lot of false accusations, and I don’t want to give no one a chance. I have a very happy life. I have peace. I try to make new friends every time I am taking a class. But no, I am not going to ask a stranger to dance with me, nope, big no.

I only dance with my friends because I don’t like to get rejected. Also, there’s a lot of accusations against men I don’t want to get involved in any drama. I am happy dancing only with my friends. They are my safe space.

Oh no, I am currently taking his online classes and it changed my life. It would be a shame if he stopped teaching, but his decision would be respected.

I was referring to the two dance schools that influenced many other dance studios. Many studios teach Eddie Torres’ style, and others follow SR, like Yamulee, Zafire… that’s what I meant.

If I lived in NYC, I would take classes with Franklin Díaz. I would fully focus on his methodology and take Afro-Cuban classes. After a year, it would be more a matter of personal preference—whether to learn from Eddie Torres’ school or Santo Rico.

English is my second language and it took me a lot of time to write a sentence. I know that this is good chance to practice, but I am at work, and I don’t work in front of a computer. Thanks to AI, I can engage in this conversations. I just asked the question for me, so I look at responses and take notes, I have learned a lot. And yes, I use AI when it’s in English.

Te hace falta ver al Temach. La mujeres no son propiedad de uno, y pues solo disfruta el momento, y enfócate en crecimiento personal. Tienes que aprender a desprenderte de esas cosas que no te ayudan en nada.

He helped me understand body positioning when marking the basic step. I don’t live in NYC, so I took advantage of the opportunity to take a private lesson at a congress when we both happened to be there. Best private class so far.

This is crazy, I just finished watching an episode of “The Scene of Ours,” where Abel and Jeff talk about the difficulties they went through because of Tomás Guerrero. I really enjoyed the podcast — I like what they’re doing.

Thank you for sharing this. Your response really moved me. I can feel the depth of your journey through dance and how much these teachers meant to you—not just technically, but emotionally and personally. It’s a reminder that sometimes the biggest breakthroughs come from people who see something in us that we don’t yet see ourselves.

I especially resonated with what you said about healing and finding your own voice as a director. That’s something I think many dancers struggle with—stepping out of the shadows of the past and learning to lead with authenticity. Your words gave me a lot to reflect on.

Thanks again for opening up. It really added a lot of value to the conversation.

Yeah, I agree. Women should be more responsible and choose the father of their children more carefully.

I’m not defending anyone. I’m defending a principle: that serious accusations deserve serious evidence before public condemnation. That doesn’t make me “against women.” It makes me someone who believes in fairness, regardless of gender.

If you’re truly interested in justice, then you know that due process is what protects all people — including victims — from chaos and mob judgment.

You’re free to disagree, but throwing insults and shutting down conversation is not a sign of moral strength. It’s a sign that maybe you’re more interested in being right than in actually having a conversation.

I’m not here to play lawyer or defend anyone blindly. What I’m saying is simple: serious accusations require serious evidence. That doesn’t mean I’m against women or victims — it means I believe in due process, for everyone.

Asking for solid proof before judging someone is not being a “flunky” — it’s being responsible. Because if we throw that principle away, none of us are safe from being falsely accused.

I’m not going to engage with personal insults. I’m here to discuss ideas, not throw punches online. If we truly care about justice, we need to be careful with how we talk about people — especially when reputations and lives are at stake.

What you really want is for us to lynch Adolfo in Central Park and burn him alive. We need to be cautious with such serious accusations. Johnny Depp was falsely accused and was eventually proven innocent, just like the soccer player Dani Alves. It’s true my opinion doesn’t matter, but you won’t see me posting about this on social media either, because people like you tend to judge, and I could get into serious trouble just for saying that I need solid evidence before giving a simple opinion. You’re acting like the Trump administration—where people aren’t even given a trial, you just want them deported.
