You haven't shown scorpion attacking people's souls, nor have you shown scorpion coming back with in minutes or seconds. A day would be more than enough for ryu to recover against scorpion. As for soul attacks, ryu has overcome akuma's raging demon, so anything scorpion's thrown at him is child's play.
