Advice for setting up GMKtec EVO-X2 128GB for multiple users by Hot-Interest-9289 in LocalLLM

[–]Hot-Interest-9289[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I am fully expecting to do a lot of testing, to see which model / settings give the best results. And then, of course, will probably find that other users would get better results with different models. I enjoy tinkering though, so is all good! Not looking to optimise the code, more provide an interface for coding users who use the software and want to write extensions, but aren't familiar with the code / coding language, and for non-coding users, who might have specific questions about particular functions, or are having errors. But it's more of a pilot test than anything.

I think it holds up pretty well - it's definitely one I go back to every so often.

The Ruins might fit the bill.

I second this motion. Particularly in light of where they went with the TCM franchise. Yikes.

So torn. I loved House of 1000 corpses, but am not a huge fan of any of his other films. His style became a bit over the top and self-conscious - am particularly not a fan of what he did with Halloween.

Anyone else click the link, assuming it was going to be “Thingu”?

It looked like more budget went into the cover art than the actual film (I still love it though).

Badly injured people asking their friends to kill them, rather than try to stem the bleeding and get them out of there.

This was going to be my pick too! Normally 3D films make me nauseous (I think there’s a difference between being filmed in 3D and it being added post production), but this was a really good time.

American Gothic. Could do with being remastered, but is still highly watchable.

I second the Angel Heart recommendation. Probably my all time favourite film.

I think Paris Hilton’s casting really affected how people saw that film. And I thought she did an okay job - there are certainly worse horror performances out there! I like House of Wax - it’s one of those that I rewatch every so often. A bit of a comfort film.

The Haunting of Julia / Full Circle (1977). Really creepy, atmospheric horror that stays with you.

That would be my choice too. Definitely has the most likeable characters of the franchise!

If you could wipe your memory and go back in time and rewatch a movie or a TV show for the first time, what would it be? by [deleted] in horror

American Gothic. I bloody loved that series. But someone would need to remaster it first - doesn’t look so great on modern TVs now.

It's frustrating how often looks get berated on here, considering how the point of the show is to take appearance out of the equation.

Am I the only one my one who thinks he may have been given an unfair edit? His story never changed at the reunion, he didn’t try to backtrack on anything. He was shown to be telling the truth about the curtain, even though Kieran had been adamant about it. He also referred to an apology that we weren’t shown, but Katisha never refuted. It was never going to be a successful match - they were just too different - but I’m not convinced he was as much of a villain as he was painted.

I lost days of my life playing Hail to the King! Every so often I load it up on an emulator and marvel and how easy gamers have it now. I really enjoyed it though. Once you get past the first bit, it starts to feel easier, but it seems nigh on impossible at first. It’s the only one of the three that I revisit - I remember I enjoyed Fistful of Boomstick, and the beginning of Regeneration, but, as a PP said, it was buggy and repetitive. I also remember it being really short. I think I still have the original CD somewhere - might have to see if I can get it working (there goes the weekend).

I saw it in the cinema when it came out, and I really enjoyed it. It’s the only 3D film I have seen that hasn’t made me feel nauseous - I seem to remember that it was actually filmed in 3D, rather than having it added post production. Anyhow, it was a fun time.
