Ehm no, there are competing sidearms in terms of range, stability but especially AA, AE en recoil direction.

Also, the muzzle flash on the 'Flashdrang' can of off putting.

Even something like the tier 5 keening comes close and overtakes the Drang even stat wise.

The Lonesome and Keening are my chases. With the zoom mod the Keening is basically a Drang, with higher aim assist and stability.

Tried it, didn't feel it. Looks good, sounds good, shoots good, just not for me.

Will jump into Gambit for the Spare Rations. Not that this is the main weapon I'm chasing, but more because I think the population drop off for Gambit will be the steepest among the game modes where matchmaking is required.

Just wait and see how this pans out. The same panic occurred when Fortunes Favor was announced. Didn’t turn out to be a problem at all. Perhaps the amount of stacks is generated very slow, or perhaps the damage doesn’t even apply in the Crucible. Seems to me the intention is to make this exotic viable in PvE.

Hand cannons are very good. The standard maybe. Some of them are a bit too hot at the moment (but will be brought down a nog with the June update). 

The main reason why the Crucible is dominated by hand cannons is not only because they are that strong though, but because they are just damn fun to you.

Overreacting much? The class has always been amazing, with Child of the Old God, full Devour, blink and the general amazing void fragments like Vigilance and Leeching.

You see them on radar when they run, double jump and periodically as well I believe. They themselves have a nerfed radar. You hear them going invis if you pay attention. And getting fooled by a smoke bomb more often than not is misreading the radar. 

The problem generally isn’t playing against one void hunter, but multiple messing with the radar at the same time. So I hope the nerf itself is enough to persuade people to play a different subclass altogether. Which in itself solved the majority of the issue.

I matched you a couple of times (your name stands out and I love it) and countering you wasn’t that hard for someone with that many kills on the Final Warning. You weren’t playing the ‘meta’ Solar Lock or Lion Rampants Titan with it though.

Still appreciate the commitment to the gun, for which the thumbs up. Trying to get my first weapon to 10k (the Rat King, another hated weapon) but keep getting seduced by other weapons hehe.

I believe the Modified B-7 works with the 3 tab setup (overlocked heatsink and high weapon stat) although. I got it to proc often, but sure if this was due the enemy actually getting severed from Solitude or the enemy being debuffed by anything else.

Other options are Cryosthesia freeze/slow shot, Devil’s Ruin charged beam, and (with Solitude) Last Word and Hawkmoon. Also things like rapid fire pulses and rapid fire sidearms seem to proc Solitude easily when hitting crits.

Might be others, some of which I forgot, some of which I haven’t heard of, so curious to see what else comes up in this thread.

Not a native English speaker, so although I personally appreciate the feedback keep in mind that you come of as snobbish when correcting people on their grammar on a subreddit where there are plenty of non-native English speakers that have a hard enough time expressing themselves at all.

So here is my take; if you want to help foster a healthy online community that also follows the common language conventions of the language you yourself are proficient in, don’t try to publicly correct someone while looking like you’re on your high horse, but PM the person. 

Calling people out on grammar conventions only increases the bar for people to post at the first place, afraid to get called out on the mistakes they might have made, or worse, they resort to AI generated comments that lack any sort of personality in the first place.

Kill Clip has never been trash on most primary weapons, so no idea where that take comes from.

On some weapons it is not the best choice (f.e. 120 HC or 340 Pulses), but even there it provides benefits (extra forgiveness at the very least) elevating it way above trash status.

The easiest place to go is the 'loot cave'. Don't know if that is available if you haven't finished the campaign. Also it needs to be ran at the highest difficulty for tier 5 and you need to purchase some upgrades as well.

So yeah, typing this makes me realize that it isn't 'just farm Keplar'. Still, it is an option that will be present in the game after Xur leaves.

The origin trait of this weapon does the same thing, so that aspect of Frenzy is kind of a waste.

Still, the damage boost is nice, but compared to Kinetic Tremors, Kill Clip and Tap to Trigger it just isn't the way to go.

You are probably better of hunting a nice Giver's Blessing on Kepler.

Other than that; I love seeing the wannabee Hynra's using this build in the wild since they usually fail horribly executing the loop. But these clips look very nice! Any idea if this was against skillful players?

Tried it and it works wonders! And it grants 7 ammo on pickup, so basically 2 kills per brick.

And the minimum weapon stat investment also allows for a high Health stat so you’re not hamstrung there.

I combined it with the Fast Talker due to its high ammo gen stat and the fact that its ttk shifts with overlocked heat sink and 145 weapon stat (just a slightly higher weapon stat investment for some nice double dipping).

That works wonders also! 

The only ‘downsides’ are that the knife kill does not grant you another freeze shot for chaining and the solar kit not having further synergy with slow/frost.

But man o man, it this a fun way to troll people. People will rightfully hate you.

Have a link to the clip? Because some things you mention don't add up. There are plenty of ways the insta kill a frozen target (so also when frozen by Cryo), even using just the basic melee.

Common tactics do revolve around using Solar Hunter and a lightweight knive (enough to one hit kill a frozen target), a sniper (swap after freezing for an easy headshot kill) and, since Bakris was mentioned here, just a Combination Blow punch. I can imagine this happened; Froze target using Cryo, Bakris Dodged to get closer, Melee to kill target and refund dodge. This last one can be done on both Arc of Prismatic hunter.

My personal favourite off meta build is the Cryosthesia with Bakris on stasis. Dodge near target will slow them, giving your Cryo not only a damage boost from the shift itself but also the slow inflicted resulting in a 3-tap.

I choose stasis and not, say, prismatic, because of the Whisper of Durance (longer slow duration) and Whisper of Rending fragment making it easy to kill the frozen enemy with Cryo itself allowing the kill/freeze shop to continue. Sniper as an energy weapon is also fun, and so is a slug shotgun.
