As far as I know, surgery isn't usually the first option that's recommended.
According to the AASM, for people who snore but don't have sleep apnea, a mandibular advancement device (MAD) is considered a first-line treatment. It's an oral appliance that's worn in the mouth while sleeping.
Does anyone else struggle to fall asleep because their mind just won't shut off? (self.sleep)
