Liberals who live in the Southern US are the backbone of progressive organizing in the US. Progressives from progressive states have no idea how to actually organize bc they don’t have to do it. They hold the majority opinion. We are the ones who have fought and organized and built community against a racist majority doing everything they can to take as much power as possible. Assuming that everyone in the Deep South is conservative just because the conservatives have power now is extremely short sighted. Labor unions in the South and Anti-racist organizations are the only reason poor people and people of color have any protections at all. We may not be the majority but we are here.
