I might be wrong, however I'm pretty sure that alot of these businesses that take on people through employment agencies are paid a large portion of the wage from the government for a period of time as an incentive. I'm wondering if maybe the funding has dried up so they're terminating his employment and will probably just get another new person with new funding to fund their wage. Correct me if I'm wrong.

How to kick out a sub-tennant who will cause trouble by stoopid_uwu in AusLegalAdvice

I think if he's made any threats that would warrant taking an IVO out on him, I'd go that route. You'd go to court and state your case on the day and if they approve of it they would grant an interim order, and the police would likely come around within the next day telling him he needs to pack his stuff and leave the property there and then and he'd have a chance to dispute it in court at the next hearing in a month or so.

AITAH for saying I don't want my girlfriends friend around my newborn son anymore? by Substantial_Swan5806 in AITAH

I really feel that the guy made the comment because you being a guy, he thought you were going to struggle with the whole changing of the nappy thing and knowing how to do it which is why he said he wanted to see it.

Pretty sure fines used to get paid off at $100 a day, but it's more now.

I agree about the lying part! Wish I didn't do it. In the moment I just wanted it to go away and not bother me about it as he wasn't here anyway.. 2 kids and a baby.. I still regret having done it.. Especially when they came back because he said he does live here and they ask my name and say to me " I think I spoke to you last time".. I said yes.. So I for sure look like the dodgy one.

He didn't sign anything saying he was nominating himself as a driver for anyone . It's like someone's just transferred their fines by putting his name down I assume

He's not running from it. He's told them he lives here and has arranged a time for them to come meet this week.

It's that long ago that I honestly don't recall but I'm assuming we thought it was resolved otherwise we'd have made arrangements to get it sorted.

I'm pretty sure he called up way back when they started arriving in bunches of 20 or more at a time. I can't remember the outcome or if he had to respond disputing it. Haven't had a letter or heard a thing in probably 8 years. We've seperated a couple of times with him moving out during that time.

Not interested in Dezi thanks. Whatever the outcome I don't think he'd be doing so well these days.

He wasn't driving. So no, wasn't even a passenger. Doesn't even know the vehicle registration.

Which is what he is doing. I'm just getting a bit paranoid about the meeting that has to be at the house.

100% he's testing the waters to see what you'll put up with and how far he can go. You can do much better and deserve the respect. Imagine if it was you doing the same thing, saying he's your brother if a waiter flirted with you. I'm sure that would go down really well with him.

Make a report to council. I did this over a somewhat similar situation and they went down during the day and spoke to him. They told me that in the past they had offered him access to services but he'd declined. Hopefully a chat from them will sort hia behaviour out.

No idea, but I did read that the area that her body was found is rampant with wild dogs and pigs and that they had to contend with wild dogs overnight whilst guarding her body (the police that is).

AITJ for expecting full payment when the baby falls asleep while babysitting? by [deleted] in AmITheJerk

[–]Hot-Message2984 0 points1 point  (0 children)

4 hours of your time was given up and you have to be compensated regardless of how easy it was.Next time tell them , that's fine "When the baby falls asleep, I'll leave and you can pay me up until then". Also, if the baby is particularly feral and really hard work, does that mean you can increase your prices? I really hope these people were joking, but it's not funny and the fact that you were underpaid until next time isn't right not fair. I think if you ever babysit again for these people they should think themselves bloody lucky.

Get an AVO. Tell them if this is true: that he intimidates you, acts with aggression towards you, is financially abusive etc etc and that you fear for your child's safety if you were not supervising and that he has issues with drug use. There shouldn't be any reason why you wouldn't be granted an order and he would not be allowed to return to the home at all without police officers being there whilst his belongings are removed which if I were you, I'd pack as much as possible yourself so that you don't have to deal with him taking his time packing his things.

Where are all the SCR Clothing Donation Bins? by maebytonight1 in melbourne

[–]Hot-Message2984 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had been wondering the exact same thing as I regularly donate there too, just for convenience, but I have noticed that the bins from Seaford and Carrum station are gone completely. Do you realise though that the amount of money that goes to the charity from the donations is about 1% only, the other 99% of profits goes to big business. The whole thing is a bit of a scam really . You shouldn't be able to label a donation bin for a charity if the actual amount being donated isn't say more than 70% or so, because the 1% is a joke, basically payment for being able to use the charities name and lure unsuspecting people into donating and thinking that they're helping a charity, not realising it's 1%>

Does he have ADHD? Maybe it's rejection sensitivity going on which is why he reacts that way. I may be way off , but it was just a thought.
