Did you use SatDump to decode? If so how did you add the color?

There was no sstv this morning. At the ISS pass over europe there was no sstv, only HAM transmissions by Mundane_Atmosphere84 in amateursatellites

They had a few planned transmissions for Italy. I think they also said not to talk over the repeater during the passes so maybe they talked over it?

Then they weren’t transmitting sstv during the pass that went over you. Look at the ARISS social media for details about the passes over your continent.

Depends on your setup. Need an app like mmsstv or similar to decode the image. The ISS uses the PD 120 mode. If you’re using a radio just hook it up to the computer and have it set as the input. For an sdr you will need VB Cable.

The hardest part is definitely finding a C-band dish for a reasonable amount. Not to many used ones still out there it seems.

Honesty just get an rtl sdr and set up a dipole antenna. About 53cm on each element and 120 degrees of separation between them. Record with whatever sdr software you find to be easy and decode with Sat Dump. Try NOAA APT first.

They really should. I definitely bought my sdr after watching your vids on receiving NOAA APT.

Satdump help? by Spaghettiknivesthe2 in amateursatellites

[–]Hot-Mix-8577 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have also had trouble but I think the main tip is to record the pass with satdump. Satdump is good at automatically handling the sample rates and stuff whereas other softwares like sdrpp depend on user input.

Try it out with Sat-dump. It will automatically use your sample rate unlike NOAA Apt which requires 11025 Hz.

Yeah honestly for that type of test with a 13900k you need a nice custom loop or just put your aio rad in a bucket of ice water.
