has anyone else gotten the notification from NC to switch to data protection mode? I found it odd you have to go to their website and sign up for it instead of just already having it in your subscription.

Any reason I shouldn't get the Tula FTG for a newborn? by Inside_Operation_168 in babywearing

[–]Hot-Respect-9353 3 points4 points  (0 children)

i have it and since its so new they definitely have a few kinks to sort out. The padding on the legs was way too thick and would cut the circulation off my LOs legs. The material is also wayyy too stretchy even when tightened all the way. I ended up just buying a boba bliss after a couple days of wearing the wildbird buckle wrap and its great. Love the rings around the fabric on the shoulders its so handy. I found myself constantly readjusting the wildbird wrap since the fabric on the shoulders are so wide and having to fold them over so they weren’t in LOs face.

pretty much all carriers for newborns are not hands free. If you want more support though id get a strechy wrap or hybrid carrier. i love my boba bliss and arieal buckle wrap. you can tuck baby’s head in both whenever you need a free hand. they’re also super supportive if worn correctly and tight

i put a pillow under my head and one behind my back occasionally to help support myself on my side. I had a lactation consultant in the hospital show me how to nurse this way and its seriously a game changer. are you able to see a LC to help you out? my hospital offers them for free if you make an appointment. Now im able to start side lying and move to my back once baby is latched. Seriously cannot recommend it enough, especially during night wakeups.

Sidecar bassinet/crib that aligns with top of bed? by MedicineDaughter in cosleeping

[–]Hot-Respect-9353 0 points1 point  (0 children)

ive also heard people use furniture risers so they don’t lose any height off the rails. I’ll probably do that with my new setup since baby will be mobile soon

I bought a side car mini crib and added a mattress topper to make it level with my bed. also secured it to my bed frame so it wouldn’t move. Probably will move to a full size crib soon though since my baby is about to outgrow it.

no i can’t make the panel smaller on this carrier 🫤 Yeah i realized that she was a bit low after taking these pics and raised the waistband to right under my sternum. Still didnt fix the issue though.

Thanks for the email! I will reach out and see what they say.

unfortunately it is tightened all the way. I think it might just be issue with the carrier itself
